Mexico Lab Ships Largest GMO Corn Seed Shipment to Haiti

By SAMUEL MAXIME

MEXICO CITY, Mexico (sentinel.ht) – A Mexican laboratory having investments from two Clinton confidants, tech billionaire Bill Gates and Mexican business magnate, Carlos Slim, created 150 tons of genetically modified corn seeds that were sent to Haiti. It is the largest seed shipment to any country in the history of the laboratory known as the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT).

The Haiti Sentinel has not, at the time of the publishing of this article, been able to determine the date of the shipment, the receiving party in Haiti, or if the seed shipment would be related to the launch of a new corn plantation on July 1, 2017 in North East, Haiti. Correspondences were sent to CIMMYT which has not yet returned our inquiry. Haiti Libre reported the presence of the seeds in Haiti on June 23, 2017.

None the less, the shipment of seeds called “Hugo” seeds are touted by the laboratory as being “renewed, improved maize seed(s) that will be sent to Haitian farmers to help jump-start the country’s seed sector, improve local food security and decrease malnutrition.”

CIMMYT began partnering with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Haiti through a program called Feed the Future (FTF). During this time, they worked to produce a “renewed Hugo” corn seed for Haiti. They call this new seed “Hugo Plus” and it is said to be able to produce up to seven tons per hectare (~2.5 acres), compared to traditional varieties in Haiti which would only produce one ton per hectare.

CIMMYT scientists say the new seeds, of varieties now called “Mayi Plus I” and “Mayi Plus II”, outperform any other seed available in Haiti, in both irrigated and rain-fed environments. They say these varieties are currently under multiplication to be introduced to Haitian farmers as soon as possible.

Resistance to GMOs
Despite being offered seeds resistant to drought in a hunger-filled poverty-stricken nation like Haiti, Haitian farmers have shown to be far more resilient than the GMOs in rejecting their use in their farms. This is because history has shown, since The Green Revolution, that the genetically modified seeds created:

  • arid and eroded soils,
  • soils addicted to drugs, that only produce with supplements usually sold from the same laboratories,
  • rising costs to purchase the seeds, maintain the crops, and use the land,
  • the vilification of peasant farmers as inefficient producers, et al.
In Africa, Asia and even Mexico itself, CIMMYT seeds have seen resistance from farmers and concerned citizens that claim use of these seeds will put peoples’ sustenence needs in the hands of international nation-state-corporate actors who have only profits as their top priority.

I'm not familiar with the agriculture sector in Haiti. Are they in a position to supply their population? Or they have no choice but to accept this?

And there were Haitians PRAISING Mexico because they were taking them in... And being "nice."
If Haitians(the naive youth) cosign that....most likely they don't know whats happeninh in Haiti or what been happening in Haiti the last 13 years . The radio/ the news wont tell them the real information because they part of the criminal web that bind them to the criminal mafia in Haiti (with alot Syrian haitian and Israel ties)

Now with the US / International msm never trust Association press, Washington post, CNN, RT....etc

They was the one during the early part of the 2004 Coup/2nd U.N occupation on Haiti that was lying and putting false information covering up the mass murderd and sexual assault/rape, child trafficking of the U.N and the CIA trained agents or what the msm call them at the time "rebels", the former Haitian military soldiers.

Finally Mexico (same for Chile) was part of the UN "peacekeepers" military Occupation in Haiti.

Now how tf Mexico of all places with all the human rights violations, drug cartel, mass murders/missing students, killing journalist, Mexicans fleeing Mexico going to be part of the U.N peacekeeper force....

of course we know real deal because the U.N is the biggest criminal organization with powerful nations that comes together as one body to make global decisions, with the real players charge (U.S, France, Britain, China and Russia).

In Haiti case the West powers had one of they conference (brain tanks ), came with the plan with the help from latin nations to put a final nail to Haiti. Sort of like with Libya , other nations help the west accomplish they mission for Exchange of certain things/ benefits. With Haiti, the powers in Brazil get something. Chile get something . South Korea get something . Morocco get something. DR get something ( if you close you will see they start maneuvering they Haitian enthinc cleansing immigration law in the courts during the coup period) etc...

For example :

Form the wikileaks I know afew years back in 09 or so Venezuela/Cuba was communicating with the president of Haiti about the Oil deal with them but the president at the time wasnt sure because of the US did not one them to but rather have Haiti do some bullshyt oil deal with Nigeria or Mexico that wasnt beneficial to Haiti.

Or when

south Korea and foreign textiles company in Haiti ran to the US to help keep the the minimum wage low, which the US did.
