Dallas mayor Eric Johnson is publicly supporting a return to Dallas for the Kansas City Chiefs after a sales tax in Jackson County, Missouri, was shot down by voters earlier this week. The failed sales tax -- which if it had passed would have helped pay for major renovations inside Arrowhead Stadium along with a new downtown stadium for the MLB's Royals -- has forced the Chiefs and Royals to look elsewhere for financial aid.

Politicians are ao corny :skip: he bout to get a call from Jerruh

if these idiot owners would make the stadiums multi use and had more attractions and events open to the public, this wouldn’t even be an argument.

how hard would it be to open the stadium during the summer to host NBA finals viewing parties? allow schools and companies to do flag football tournaments at the stadium? Do themed dance party nights during the summer? (mind you none of these events should cost more than $100 per person)

It’s crazy that these owners don’t think about the other uses the stadium can bring besides football for the long run ,, like buffalo new stadium which is still open air and no dome and tax payers paying 800 million plus other shyt..

That’s ridiculous and people can save that football is meant for cold weather line

It’s even funnier when you consider that Buffalo has had an open air stadium for decades and still hasn’t won a fukking Super Bowl so what advantage is it really bringing

Weren't Arrowhead getting funding for renovations anyway because of the World Cup in 2026?

Just keep renovating/upgraded these stadiums

People pockets are hurting meanwhile u as a owner and family continue to rake in millions and billions every year from your other businesses as well
Which is weird because the rest of the world has no problem adding renovations and upgrading football/soccer stadiums. The US wants a new stadium every 15 to 20 years.

The owners know damn well all the additional revenue it can bring it. They get away with it because people have a weird infatuation with the rich and will hurt themselves to enable the rich to pull that type of bullshyt.

People can barely, if even AT ALL, afford housing, what they look like signing up to be taxed more to build a literal "Play House":what:

They trying to get this going with the Browns also, I ain't paying extra for shyt, they been terrible for all those years prior and now need a new stadium when they weren't winning for the majority of the time they played there.

Then to add insult to injury, The Crossroads is a blue collar area.

Kansas City, Missouri is like Detroit before the auto industry fukked them over. The state invested close to $1 billion in a downtown entertainment district (Power & Light) so if you're in construction or any blue collar field, you can eat good here.

The Crossroads is like 5 minutes from P&L, that's where all the blue collar workers eat and mingle. This plan would've erased that whole area, including Town Topic, a restaurant that's been there for damn near 100 years.

This shyt had ZERO chance of happening. I don't know what they were thinking even trying it.

Fred.
