The year 3030

Never thought it was as bad as people have said it was. It's no Hell on Earth or Murda Muzik but it isn't wack either. Album had some bangers on there. Plus it led to one of my favorite mixtapes/compilations of that time the following year w/ Free Agents. Now that had some joints on it.

- still one of my favorite alc beats

@mobbinfms @shopant what're your thoughts on this one?

The album is definitely not at the same level as previous 3, but it still has nice tracks. My favorites are (in no particular order): get away, i won't fall, pray for me, nothing like home, burn, so long, clap.

Hav stepped his lyrics up while P slowed it down, but still sounded dope, even using that slower flow and deeper voice. Pray for me is one of my fav opening tracks on a hip hop album. P sounds so grimey on it while Hav killed the beat and set a trend with a "word-cutting" style he rhymed with over it. On top of that with lil mo on the hook we got a classic track!

One more trend was set on get away with rhyming back and forth with a vocal sample contained in the beat. EZ Elpee killed that beat. Initially I thought It would have been produced by Hav.

Hey luv was/is probably the most hated track of the album, but for all those who've been hating, P explained them in the Premium pete show podcast episode.

Scott storch productions sounded kinda forced, although he came through on I won't fall.

It's interesting that I heard/got tracks of this album for the first time thanks to one local radio show in my city. They asked what is the name of the upcoming debut album of one local rap act and I was the first one to call and answer correctly, so I got a burned audio cd with tracks of my choice as a reward. Next week we came to the radio station and the guy told me he just got the newest mobb deep album, so I told him that it will be my first pick :feedme: , but I also asked him to go through the tracks and put on the cd only the ones I liked. Most of the album ended up on the CD anyway, but I also took "stick to a gunz remix", some nas and dilated peoples to fill up all 80 mins:wow:

The Learning is such a great single.

I liked the jabs at Jigga post Takeover, also video filmed in D.C.

So we gonna act like this album didn't fail to damage Jay Z the way we were expecting ?

Bullshyt subliminals while Jay still had people thinking P was actually in a tutu?

Nas got it way worse yet he rattled Jay Z properly. Jay sonning them twice by muscling Vida from The Burn video
