Nas is that kid that got left behind in school and didn't graduate:krs:

the next year to new students he appears smarter, he's older, he's seen the curriculum, but then even those students lap him and pass by:ooh: This was the case with Biggie:sas2:

And then when Jay was graduating to the next level he took it upon himself to make remarks on the kid still left behind:mjpls:

and this inevitably brought us ether :snoop: but after that this man still hasn't topped his best work at 17, doesn't have a mature stable home life as others have matured not only financially, lyrically, and literally in their respective personal lives

Nas still finds himself left behind on the sidelines.....

Why would this album be watered down? Why would it be a quick way to make money?

Nas has all kinds of other endeavors to make money from. The industry had changed when Nas dropped his verse on "Live At The BBQ" to when he dropped his album in '94. When Nas dropped in '94, The West dominated and Nas dropped a jazzy yet grimey East Coast album. It didn't sell well initially, but it ended up being one of the greatest Hip Hop albums ever.

For real Nas pockets are probably fatter right now than at anytime in his career. His investments have been very lucrative.

If anything, he can make this “no limits” album because he’s not concerned about making a huge commercial hit so he can eat. He’s free to do whatever he wants musically.
