Yup he's been seen out there many times. I just assumed it was for Kanye's album, or maybe Kanye would give him 1-2 beats. Remember, Nas went to Hawaii to work on MBDTF and is shouted out on one of the tracks but obviously didn't have a verse on the final album.
I'd imagine this came about in part because Nas has been working with Hip Hop (Kyambo Joshua), who is one of Kanye's mentors and former managers. While the thought of an entirely Kanye produced album is dope...I'd like to see other producers on there too. People associate Common's Be with Kanye exclusively but remember, Dilla had a couple tracks on there too. So if it's 14 tracks and like...10 are Kanye beats that would be ideal for me. Just so those other 4 can have something different. Maybe something he did with Timbo, or Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Cardo...lots of possibilities.
