Cut off your nose to spite your face brehs. Goodell need 2 get humbled
Goodell is thinking short-term.

The NFL should WANT all of CFB to shine. Why? Because that's where the NFL draws 99.9% of its talent. If these college athletes are showing out on the big stage, that increases their Q-Score and star power before being drafted. All those talented athletes coming into the league with defined brands/rep helps NFL marketing, jersey sales etc.

Imagine if the WNBA tried to stonewall women's CBB so that people were watching Liberty vs. Aces instead of Caitlin vs. Angel. Obviously WNBA is galaxies away from NFL clout but it's the same idea.

NFL is doing what we've seen lots of corporations do: trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip just for a little extra profit margin. The league has maxed out and international adoption of the game is much slower than the NBA. Easy to find a 6'7" Slovenian with A+ court vision..or a 7'0" German with an unstoppable jumper. Finding foreign-born NFL caliber ath-o-leets that can play a Money 5 position is almost impossible. Seriously imagine looking for an elite corner in London, Rome or Munich. The smaller guys with NFL potential play soccer while the bigger guys are playing Rugby League, Rugby Union or some kind of powerlifting.

For the NFL to work overseas, they a lighting in a bottle like situation to happen like what happened with the NBA, Olympics, and the 92 Dream Team.

And I gave the NFL the perfect way on another thread and that's create an NFL version of the G-League in Europe (in other words bring back NFL Europe), but make it as an easy avenue for European players to get into the NFL.

Exactly it makes no an sense to be as rigid and greedy like the NFL is. Leave saturdays and fridays alone and let your minor league shine.

What if you have a CFP playoff game of OSU at Georgia happening a the same time as a useless week 17 nfl game. How dumb

Which i still dont get how that happened. Fox CBS ABC and NBC should all have CFP games.
ESECPN.

Guaranteed the other networks would be more balanced but ESPN is all about agendas and narratives....and nothing tops CFB for agenda and narrative..not even the NBA.

NBA plays favorites to a point but winning is largely objective. CFB still has polls and committees.
