The National Championship game got 27M viewers.
a regular season Cowboys Dolphins game got 30.3M viewers
KC vs Buffalo playoff game got 50.3M viewers

A Regular primetime game for CFB averages 5.7M viewers
a Regular primetime game for the NFL averages 19M viewers.

College Football just needs to get in line with the NBA, MLB, MLS, Boxing etc.... NFL runnin shyt
We shall see.
That said national title came not being in broadxast is the reason for its low ratings.
If EsPN lost that contract and CBS or Fox or NBC got the telecast and put it on broadcast those ratings would go up

This may have been what Cuban was talking about with hogs get slaughtered

But I’m sure they smarter than that
Naw Cuban was just hating :russ:. But you can never overestimate the stupidity of people...especially when money is involved.

College Football is so far ahead of the NBA, MLB, MLS, and Boxing that it’s hilarious to group them together like that

2 things are true imo

1) is the NFL a bigger entity than CFB : YES

2) is CFB the only entity that can tell the NFL to go fukk themselves and be largely unaffected: YES

College football down south is KING

A whole lot of ppl in Arkansas and Alabama will watch CFB over NFL

The NFL KNOWS THIS

Thats why they are ASKING and not DOING.

@Silkk Why would that make you mad? This way we get more football and no conflict with the nfl
These will be cfb home playoff games. There’s a reason why CFB games are 98% played on Saturdays in the fall.

Because outside of the rare big game, Nobody gives a fukk or has time to make weekday games, tailgate, hang out late after, etc.

NFL has Sundays. That’s their day. We already have the trash ass Monday national title game schedule. They need to take they asses on :camby:

Ever notice the NFL never asks the NBA or any other sport to change thier schedual?

No they just throw games on Christmas and spank they asses and be like :yeshrug:

They know they can "win" a ratings battle with CFB

But every "win" ain't the same, and they certainly wouldn't dominate especially if the blue bloods like Bama, Ohio State, Georgia ect. are playing.

College football is king in the south and is king in Ohio. Ohio State can go toe to toe with the browns and bengals anytime of the week in Ohio. NFL is king in the rest of the world. I’m sure the NFL will work around college football because they been supplying them with a minor league for centuries. The draft get huge ratings, people get excited about rookies. It’s really no reason to step on college football.

Your last point is a good one.

CFB has been providing the NFL with a VERY high quality farm system that the NFL doesn't have to organize or pay for.

Thats a HUGE benefit to the NFL and adds to the whole "print money" thing as an owner.

it's no reason at all to start friction.

Nope..College Football is regional.
NBA is global
MLB has a local fan-base in every city

Nobody on the West Coast or North East cares about College Football

We’re talking about the United States, cause if we talking about the world, the NFL is not king, Soccer is, hell Cricket is more popular than the NFL internationally.

College Football is the 2nd most popular sport in the United States and it’s not close. 28 million people watched Michigan vs Washington, a National Title game that included a West Coast and Midwestern team while only 11 million people watched the NBA Finals.
