Freeway Ricky Ross has finally settled on an actor to portray him in an upcoming biopic. Nick Cannon is set to play the role of the man who presided over a multi-million dollar cocaine empire in the early 1980's out of Los Angeles.
"I've been wanting him to to play my role since '96," Rick says as he stands next to Nick in a new video announcement. "We got hooked up. I met him, I love his personality."
"We're family now," Nick said. "We're going to get this thing right. However long it takes, the story gotta be told. The real Rick Ross."
"It's time to tell the Story of Cocaine, Contras and America. This is the story of the real Scarface!" Freeway Rick posted on his Facebook page.

So he wanted Nick Cannon to play this role "since '96"?
Looks like BOTH Rick Ross' are phonies.
Personally I don't see the problem with it.
I'd rather let his performance speak for itself, because sometimes castings can fool folks...I mean really, who thought Larenz Tate would turn in such a legendary gangsta character performance as O-Dog? Be real....
Says the script is being written by the writer of "Blow", which is one of my fave biopics of all time.
So there's hope.
