I have no idea if he'll be good at it, but I trust his judgment far more than the people making decisions over the last 12 years. I think coaches should be allowed to help with personnel and bringing in guys they like and want, because nobody knows their system as well as they do. And shyt, I trust the judgment of a starfish over the Raider's front office.
