Nope the laws need to stay as is...if mofos wanna risk their freedom to smoke then let them...shyt I think the laws are too lenient...by now everybody knows what the price is for smoking or selling weed...there shouldn't be no 3 strikes or 10-20 life...

This is an interesting topic. Because when we say end the War on Drugs, what exactly do we mean? Keep in mind, before the War on Drugs, drugs were STILL ILLEGAL, and carried some jail time. The War on Drugs was just a movement to increase jail sentences, change laws to make it easier to prosecute and convict drug defendants, and funnel TONS of money into fighting the drug trade.

Now first and foremost, marijuana needs to be decriminalized. It should be legal and not grouped in with the other hard drugs.

But the others...cocaine, heroin, meth, etc...what do we do? I've seen some posts say ending the drug war would help the black community. Uhhhh...I'm not so sure about that. Remember the crack epidemic in the 80's? Obviously the sentences are too high. Double digit years for selling drugs is crazy. So do we max it out at 5 years even if its at a trafficking level? Or do we eliminate the possibility of prison altogether? Heres the thing...do you want crack/heroin/meth being sold in YOUR neighborhood? You know the drama that brings. The only way to eliminate the violence is to legalize it, and that brings us back to the question of legalizing crack, heroin, etc. That just doesn't seem like a good idea.

Its cool to say but has he taken action in his state to attempt to stop jailing black & brown kids for drugs?
Have you? Have you emailed your congress man, attended any council meetings, any courses to push policy? They work for us breh. You can't expect someone to do for you when you can't do for yourself.

breh read the whole post. They're asking has he done anything but the people that voted for him don't give a fukk if he's done anything about it. Him talking about this out the blue trying to start a conversation in his circle means something but the first thing y'all do is find a way to hate on him.

The people who vote for him would rather see me swinging from a tree. fukk him and his constituents. This is nothing but pandering to young people and his attempt to draw in uniformed minority voters. If you all want to fall for the okie doke go right ahead. It's not like you guys don't know what these fukking red necks really stand for. Thank Allah he'll never make it through the Republican Primaries and if not would be completely unelectable when it comes to the Presidency itself.

So I'm supposed to embrace a xenophobic movement as a minority? How the fukk is that going to work out?
that's not wtf I'm saying at all. You twisting my words for what breh? So you can prove that this white man never did anything for you?:what:
Do for your fukking self and if you got a problem with the way shyt is going then do something about it. These white trash tea partyers changed the make-up of politics in this country because they didn't like the way shyt was going. If they can do it so can you. Stop acting like a bytch, stop crying and go at they fukking neck... I'm fukking sick of y'all muthfukkas always bytching. You mad when they talk about our problems, you're mad when they don't talk about our problems, you mad when they serve soul food to honour black history month, you mad when they don't honor black history month. I mean fukk breh!.. its always fukking something y'all bytching about but never try and make a change. shyt needs to change so fukking do your part. The fukk is the point of being mad at this old man for talking about something you agree with:dahell: .

I've attended a few local meetings.
But what a strange post, they work for us, but we can't expect them to do any work for us. Very interesting logic.

Why would the Amerikkka want to stop putting black men in jail, when its working so well to keep us down? He is saying this because he knows that it is not meant to be stopped. Prisoners are publicly traded on the stock market, its not stopping. Its like saying you are against illegal immigration, but you are going to hire 200 illegals to work for your company. Politicians are nothing but liars and hypocrites. The earlier you guys realize it, the better off you will be and the closer to the truth you will get to.

are you one of those guys who believes birth certificates are traded as well?

You've said that business should have the right to refuse service to anyone, and that the Americans with Disabilities Act, the ADA, was an overreach by the federal government. Would you say the same by extension of the 1964 Civil Rights Act?

Rand Paul
What I've always said is that I'm opposed to institutional racism, and I would've, had I've been alive at the time, I think, had the courage to march with Martin Luther King to overturn institutional racism, and I see no place in our society for institutional racism.

Robert Siegel
But are you saying that had you been around at the time, you would have hoped that you would have marched with Martin Luther King but voted with Barry Goldwater against the 1964 Civil Rights Act?

Rand Paul
Well, actually, I think it's confusing on a lot of cases with what actually was in the civil rights case because, see, a lot of the things that actually were in the bill, I'm in favor of. I'm in favor of everything with regards to ending institutional racism. So I think there's a lot to be desired in the civil rights. And to tell you the truth, I haven't really read all through it because it was passed 40 years ago and hadn't been a real pressing issue in the campaign, on whether we're going to vote for the Civil Rights Act.
