Silk surprised and came through with a 6.4 rating which is much higher than I thought they would rank.

Edit, I give them a 7 for the cuts but vocally I wasn’t impressed. I realize they were kids when they started and sound damn near prepubescent but eh as they grew up/deeper I felt the same way.

I am going to give them an 9. I think members have the most compelling stories after the Jacksons and the Temptations.

Yes they initially molded themselves after the Jacksons in that sort of light poppy style but by the 2nd album they already had at least 4 or 5 classic songs. Also once Bobby Brown left they ended getting Johnny Gill who changed the entire perception and sound of the band. Heartbreak is a classic album and 'Can You Stand the Rain' and 'Boys to Men' are probably some if the smoothest R&B songs of the past 30 or so years. They are a staple of American Music and even came close to another comeback in the 90s but just couldn't keep it together.

Plus Mr Telephone Man is a personal all time favorite of mine. It came out when I was 11-12 and it really captured that feeling of trying to that girl I liked.
