This isn't new to Heat fans who been here for the long run. You suffer to hopefully get a shot into building a contender. Even historic franchises like the Celtics, Lakers and Bulls go through this shyt. Only the Spurs have really been competing at a high level for so long, even then they went years between a finals appearance.

I know some of you are spoiled but it can't be like that forever.

I was a Heat fan when we sucked in 2007 but this feels way worst. I dunno why but this feels like we don't even have a future to look forward too.

But you tell me what we got to be optimistic about. Wade taking less and Bosh is here. We got no picks, we're not stocked full of young talent, we were just embarrassed in the finals, and it looks like our FA signing is Deng.

Does that honestly look like a squad to make noise in the playoffs? I'm trying to imagine that squad stop the Pacers, Wizards, Bulls, Cleveland, or even Atlanta.

That legit looks like a first round fodder squad. You tell me the Silver lining because I do want their to be one but I'm just not seeing it. We went from the best in the league to a bottom feeder in the span of a day. It's just a harsh feeling.

What are you talking about? We still repping the Heat. Of course we're mad at losing our best player (Wade is the Heat GAWD tho). You realize that you're team is still nowhere near as successful as ours, right? If we didn't win till 2020, you'd still be less successful than us despite having how many years as an NBA FRANCHISE I. Us?

Nikkas out here panicking when free agency isn't even over. Pending Wade's health, at worst we're the 6th seed.

If I were Riles I'd ditch his "win-now" mentality. We're not winning a championship anytime soon with this roster. I don't know how the cap is looking but I would invest in Bledsoe/Monroe and build around them. They're still young and not even in their primes.

James was gone the day he made the decision to come to Miami. You can't see this? Read some of what was written in 2012 and has come out over the last days, this 2014 opt-out and returning back has been years in the making.

Be grateful he cheated on Cleveland with the Heat and not the Knicks or Bulls, otherwise you may not even have that.

Bosh got overpayed, no doubt. But they needed to keep him. I came to my senses about it rather quickly.

They have historic cap room. Bosh has to deliver and I think he will, but of course it won't be at the level of James.

Putting faith in the draft like we're going to repeat the results of 2003 is laughable. There is also no guarantee in sending offer sheets and getting those players either.

It was either tank with low chances of getting anything valuable for it, and betting on 2016

Overpaying Bosh, trying to trade for pieces and bet on 2016.

The second is the best choice.

Yeah man, i find it funny when fans give up so easily. When we lost Lebron in 2010, I was mad, but i looked at the roster and wondered about the next year.

Miami has Riley at the helm, who is known to keep a competitive roster.

I know outside nikkaz clown the Heat, but if you look at their history, they have been consistent. They never have extended playoff droughts, and i doubt that changes.

Knicks are basically counting re-signing Melo, having a rookie head coach, and bringing most of the same team back as a win, despite not making the playoffs in a historically bad conference/year. That's because they are holding onto hope that the future with Jackson might help them 2 years from now.

We are in a better situation, as crazy as that sounds.

Man, I think the city of Miami, for the most part, has remained calm and classy.
For all of the negative shyt the rest of the country talks about us, I was really expecting a Cleveland-type reaction.

Sure you have an isolated incident or two of some fukkerry. But, that's to be expected.
