I'm skeptical on Wade also.....

I gotta see him play back to backs. Three games in four nights....

Also with the added defensive attention.

I'm hoping for the best. I gotta see it first though

Exactly!

That's the part that a lot of heat fans in here seem to be missing. Wade will have a bullseye on his back all season. Teams know if they stop Wade Bosh will be limited since we have no play-maker at PG and Deng is just a spot-up shooter and slasher.

I've never rbeen a fan of blind faith like that in sports or even religion. Until i SEE a player on tis roster outside of Wade and Cole who can consistently take his man off the dribble i'm assuming we dont have any.

In other news, Eric Bledsoe and the Suns are sill not making progress in contract talks. I like the kid a lot but as a PG :lupe:
Too bad he's out of our price-range right now. I guess all i can do is pray that the Knicks dont get him.

Im not worried bout Wade at all because

FACT 1 - The team FORCED him to rest. Not the doctors, not him personally, not his knees, THE COACHING STAFF MADE RANDOM DECISIONS ON WHEN HE SHOULD REST. It had nothing to do with knee soreness, they just thought it would keep him fresher for the playoffs but it ended up being the reason he was fatigued in the offs. On top of that if he shows up 10-15 pounds lighter fatigue wont be a major problem.

FACT 2 - Wades jumper was money all season last year, from mid range and from 3. Playing next to Bron and having limited chances to get those shots kept him from really showing how much better of a shooter he was. Wades #1 priority was still getting to the basket, and still should be. Without having to worry about not getting his shots, if he misses his 1st few jumpers he will have much more opportunities to get them to fall.

FACT 3 - Wade is the best post up guard in the game (if there is no healthy Kobe), he does not need to waste as much energy getting his points from the top of the key when he can start his posessions from 15 feet down. Expect the MJ transformation from 96-98 cause if coach Spo is smart, Wade will start the majority of his posessions from down there. I dont want him bringing the ball up the court much at this point in his career. But Spo is not smart so you never know :yeshrug:

FACT 4 - They will suck if Bosh is forced to be a #1 isolation scorer, I guarantee they wont even make the playoffs if any coach has this in mind. As I said before, Bosh is not and will never be a prime Amare, he is nowhere near as effective as Amare was/is as an isolation scorer. If they decide to start the season with this in mind, they will change it after the 1st week of the season.

FACT 5 - Wade always beasts when he has something to prove. He has more to prove this year than he did in 08-09, I would not be suprised if he puts his name back in the top 3 players in the league category. We all know he can do it, its just more of a matter of stamina and fatigue than his knees. Hopefully he has dropped that weight and starts the year shutting nikkas up. Cant wait to see how things will play out.

WRONG

With his own mouth in an interview on National TV Wade said with his rehab a lot of times he has to let the coaches know how much he's been rehabbing the days prior in other for them to gauge wether he should play or not. Then he himself SAID (with his mouth) that there have been a few games when he had to tell them that he needs the rest and sat out.
I believe i said Bosh will be our number one scorer and we need to get him going but by no means does that mean he's our number one option on offense. The offense MUST go through Wade. Bosh will end up scoring more because he'll likely get more shots as Wade likes to create for others but make no mistake about Wade.
I agree with this. He seems to always beast when he feels slighted but then again there's the age factor. You cant will speed you have lost. Trust me i know from experience. Until I SEE it i'll be skeptical, i guess

For #1 from what I had heard both Wade and Bron were irritated by the coaching staff making Wade sit out at the last minute. They both said there were numerous games where Wade came in expecting to play but the coaching staff said NO :yeshrug:. Wade and Bron had both spoke on this so IDK about what you said.

For #5 I factored in the age factor fasho. I know fatigue naturally gets worse as dudes get older (im bout to be 28 and my shyt is horrible, but I smoke squares, smoke weed, and drink daily. At the same time, since I have started working out my shyt has gotten a lot better) but with Wade at a older age he should have been playing the 96-98 MJ role 2 seasons ago. Spo is just not a smart enough coach to implement this as a main factor in the offense. There was no reason to have Wade starting posessions from the top of the key against an all time great defense in the Spurs. Even Bron was struggling to get to the basket against them, but yet the coaching staff thought it was a good idea to have both of them starting their posessions 30 feet away from the basket insted of 12-15 feet. Wade needs to STAY down there, no one can guard him in the post. This will save energy and will get open shots for shooters and cuts to the basket from bigs.

Emeka Okafor Receives Interest From Cavaliers, Heat
Aug 24, 2014 11:31 PM EDT

Emeka Okafor has received interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat among roughly half of the NBA's teams, according to sources.

Okafor, however, is unlikely to sign with a team until midseason as he continues to heal from a herniated disk.

"He'll be in high demand when he's back," one source said.

Okafor suffered his injury during preseason last year and was subsequently dealt from the Washington Wizards to the Phoenix Suns.

Looks like he won't be joining us for a while. I wish we could just sign him now and let him rehab on the payroll. Wouldn't be the first time we've done that or the second...:lupe:

Man if he could start and we get a fraction of this, we would be alright.

Mourning said that if he played today, he’d probably be transformed into a stretch-4 or perimeter shooting power forward. The lack of centers is not surprising to Mourning, now an executive with the Miami Heat. “I wouldn’t say it’s leaving because if another great center comes along, he’ll be the first pick in the draft,” he said. “[Joel] Embiid would have been the first pick in the draft if not for his health. “Basketball is played from the inside out. San Antonio beat us [Miami in the NBA Finals] because they dominated us in the paint. So if you can get somebody in the draft that’s dominating in the paint, they’re going to go first.”

Interesting and he's probably right. Being a back to the basket, traditional center is a lost art.
