A retired NYPD detective shot his two adult sons before killing himself during a party in their Long Island home, police said Monday.
Irvin Noak, 61, was arguing with relatives at his Foxglove Circle home in Bellport when his two sons intervened at about 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Suffolk County police said.
Noak then grabbed a handgun from his bedroom, came back and shot his sons Irvin Noak III, 30, and Aaron Noak, 22. He then turned the gun on himself, police said.
Emergency responders rushed all three men to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. The victims were listed in critical condition but the former detective could not be saved, police said.
