the thing is these are most likely investment properties. When you're dealing with condos you have a condo association to deal with. And when you get to high end condos there are many limitations such as the inability to lease (many places want to keep a the owner to renting ratio balanced) inability to airbnb as well as limited renovations and changes you can do

Rapper Rick Ross hustled his way into selling his 10,000-square-foot waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale, FL, for a little over $6 million, after initially listing the home nearly two years ago for $9.25 million.

The rapper made headlines in 2014 after spending $5.8 million on a 54,000-square-foot, 109-room mansion outside Atlanta on 235 acres, previously owned by boxer Evander Holyfield. It's reportedly the largest home in Georgia.
