You think those fragile minds would be better off if they didn't listen to Rap? GTFO, they were bound to be fukkin up anyway.
People like you are part of the problem. When a black kid ain't got a father figure, who the fukk is he going to look up to? He's going to look up to the rappers he listens to and see's stunning and holding guns on TV. Why? because they plastered everywhere and they look like him. Disgusting how many black people still don't see the negative effects of rap. There be some ignorant motherfukkers up in here.

Black parents are out here working alot because of the racist system, most don't have time to watch over their kids. They come home from work and are too tired. Rap is what most black kids are listening too and it's influencing them. I've seen black kids with good backgrounds join gangs, do some fukked up shyt all because of the music they listening too. Stop downplaying how powerful rap is. It is now being used as weapon against us. I have found it strange how we went from Public Enemy and Pac to the bullshyt being put out today.
I'm not downplaying anything, you are downplaying the influence and responsibility of parents

Both of my parents worked :yeshrug:
My first album was The Chronic at age 9 :yeshrug:
I went to college and am a tax paying citizen :yeshrug:

Why? My dad didn't play that shyt. I had to answer to my parents before anybody.

If people are too busy to raise kids right they shouldn't have them. But if they do have them they have to do everything they can to keep them on the straight and narrow. Stop using rap as an excuse for bad parenting

My dad wasn't around when I was growin up either, yet I never went out of my way to copy these rappers. There you go again tryin to blame the music instead of the individuals themselves who fukk up in life. If most folks who listen to rap don't get into crime and if most gamers aren't killin people, then logicially the media ain't the problem, its the people themselves.

bro was manic depressive & mentally ill

all that positive talk was constantly punctuated by negative activity

don't be like these lil hoes falling in love with that fake ass self inflicted self tortured character

he wanted to live a tragedy & he got a tragic ending

*
This exactly
He has a cult following.

I'm not exaggerating when I say people would consider him the "voice" of this generation and more than likely he will be Pac status to these kids now that he passed.

Keywords are people of this generation not necessarily me.

No disrespect to him.

RIP.

Bruh. No. He had talent and was a nice artist but stop getting carried away.

Again, I don't listen to his music, I'm saying this from talking to young people.

I just met a 19 year old rapper who's biggest inspiration in the game is Lil Peep.

Why? Because his death brought about the mystery and "what if" theories that make people bigger in their head than they actually were when alive.

The same thing is going to happen to X whether you like his music or not.

Is there a thread that discusses the reasons young men wanna be shooters.

I mean had there been any real research on their backgrounds and attempts at redirecting their peers.

:jbhmm:

I just seems like 90% of people are saddened by this but there's just this small many of pleople that just dgaf and are down to pull a trigger on their peers.

What does any of that matter? My dad broke my Chronic CD, he was not playing rap around me, but I listened to it anyway and even made some rap... still turned out fine.

You are acting like there aren't criminals who don't listen to rap, or like black people didn't get caught up in crime and gangs before rap music. Rap was born out of the streets, not the other way around. Obviously rap is not the most positive influence, but acting like it's more influential than parents/environment is crazy. Plenty of productive people listen to rap

Look Im not going to go back and forth about this in this thread, RIP to the young dude, he had some real demons in his psyche but he deserved the time to make good on them and sort himself out.

Yes, him beating his pregnant gf (at the time) is true. Not sure about the other incident

So what I’ve gathered is -

1- he posted questionable things about dark skinned people
2- compared himself to Zimmerman
3- faked a suicide
4 - abused his pregnant ex girlfriend
