Why don't ya'll ever read this shyt in its full context? This is like the go-to verse for all christians who don't know shyt about the scriptures. If you would've took your ass down little futher in chapters rather than regurgitating what one of the pork chop preachers be telling you in these churches you would've came across this verse. John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. seem like ya'll got a contradiction on ya'll hands unless you go back to look up the transliteral definition of the word world in that context which just means a class or group of people. The bible speaks of multiple worlds and you have to read in context to understand which world it's talking about rather than applying your own modern definition. And going back to john 17:9 when it says at the end "but for them which thou hast given me.' Who was Christ given? Matthew 15:24 is the answer.
