NHL playoff tickets are so much more expensive than NBA tickets in Boston. The cheapest ticket for the Bruins is $160 and you can find Celtics tickets for $50. Nothing like playoff hockey.

.Bruins have traded Thornton, Kessel, and Seguin all during their primes..

Seguin for Louie Eriksson![]()
.
.It's because a certain GM likes to give out long terms deals with NTC's to players like Chris Kelly. That same GM traded Taylor Hall as well..
Honestly, the Bruins should have won more Stanley Cups in the few years after their 2011 victory. They had a LOT of talent, and many of the best players were in their prime. Yet, shytty contracts let to some players being moved..

Chiarelli is an idiot....Gave away a top 10 player for a bum defenseman...HE learned nothing from his mistakes in Boston.
Traded 2 top 10 players for Larson,Eriksson...![]()

.I want to buy tickets for the game tomorrow. IF there happens to be a game five, I would go to that was well, but I'm hoping there won't be..
Matthews should just come back to the U.S. and stay in Boston for the next 10+ years..
Thats like going from Manchester United to West Brom.....Hes already with the biggest most important club in the league,he knows winning a cup here will immortalize him in team history....Winning here is not like winning in Columbus or Buffalo....He'll have highways and parks dedicated to him...
.
.
..
If he was going to Arizona, maybe, but you're talking about the Boston Bruins, not some organization with no history. He'll almost certainly stay in Toronto, but I had to re-read what you wrote acting like the Bruins are West Brom..
Anyways, I would love for this Penguins v.s. Flyers series to turn into a similar series as their 2012 playoff match-up. One of my favorite playoff series ever..
Bruins have history but they'll never be on par with the Leafs in terms of importance....
Bruins are the 4th team in Boston....You cant be in the same sentence as the blue and white when ur not even a top 3 team in ur own city.
Winning a cup in a original 6 city is great but winning one here will be much bigger...
.
.The fourth team in the city are the Celtics, especially if we're expanding it to all of New England..
I won't get into the Leafs and their 'importance" as I know Maple Leafs fans think Toronto is the Mecca of hockey. Yes the Leafs are clearly the #1 team in Toronto, and that won't be changing anytime soon. It's time for the U.S. boy to come back to the U.S. is all I'm saying..
Celtics arent bigger than the Bruins ?
.When playing well the blue Jays are number 1 in the city
I'd even say in the raptors in terms of hardcore core fans are right there with the leafs
Leafs have alot of old fans 40, majority of raptors fans are in their 20s and 30s
Nationwide yes.
But, I would say in the city of Boston and New England in general, the Bruins are more popular. When the Celtics are doing well, they generate a lot of buzz. However, if we're factoring in years where either of the teams struggled, hockey fans, especially here tend to be more fanatical. If we're throwing in Vermont, Maine, and NH, those areas are big hockey states in this area. I'm not basing it on ratings, but over the past ten years or so the buzz has been much more consistent for the Bruins here.
I wasn't alive during the 60's, 70's, and most of the 80's, but pretty much everyone that was around during those times up here have said that the Bruins in the 70's had the biggest following of die-hards out of any of the Boston fan-bases. At the end of the day, all of the team in Boston are popular, but hockey is definitely more of a niche sport.
