i dont know about that breh :patrice:..those were the times ppl though that harry houdini could speak to the dead :russ:

I meant a wrestler/promoter, not a random fan :heh:

People were fixing games in baseball you don't think someone besides Toots Mondt would've went "hey. if Burns and Gotch got a lot of money working this shyt why don't we do it on a bigger scale? :jbhmm:"

Strangler Lewis was huge but if he doesn't start running shyt with the GDT then someone like Stecher or Londos would've done the same thing with other groups. Or maybe other dudes would've come up. No way wrestling stays "legit" by the 1930's. At that point there were already a bunch of regional promotions and "world champions" so, again, SOMEONE was gonna take the opportunity and run shyt like the GDT.

Current day pro wrestling owes a lot to the gold dust trio..without we'd prolly see and hear of more shoot fukkery

Yup. One of the trio was Toots Mondt who eventually teamed up with Vincent McMahon Sr and taught him everything he knew about the wrestling business. So there's a direct line from the Gold Dust Trio to WWE today.
