Allen Iverson was not Alan Henderson, he was unlucky enough not to have that kind of background and grounding. Allen was a kid who had interests which the adults didn't quite understand or want to understand (it wasn't that long ago that the only rap you'd hear on radio would be instrumentals). They should have let him express himself, branch out. If he had been allowed to branch out, how much of his issues would have been transferred to wax instead of transferred to the hardwood?
If his branching out interferred with his ability to do his day job, that's one thing. But to intentionally suppress someone's artistic leanings, on some 'that's not appropriate' shyt, I can't be down with that. It's suspect.
