So basicly there's this daily radio segment here in Atlanta that plays on 107.9 that encourages callers(male & female) from all over the city to call in and give a "shout-out" to their side-pieces. Mine you, this is being broadcast on the most popular urban station in ATL around 6:00 in the evening. Millions of kids are hearing this everyday. And lets add to the fact that ATL is one of the leading cities in America when it comes to hiv/aids cases. I just cannot wrap my head around how this segment was given the greenlight. It is HIGHLY irresponsible. I cannot even remotely imagine this type of segment being able to be broadcast on any other stations besides this one aimed at the black youth demographic. My question is, why is our censorship standards set so low compared to everyone else? Why do we seem not to care about the content going into our minds, especially the youth? Where's our morals as a people? I was literally shocked the 1st time i heard this when i moved here. There's lots of Atlanta brehs on this site i would like for yall to weigh in. Am i the only one disturbed by this? If so, that speaks to a waaaay bigger problem in our community.

because #blacklivesmatter only when whites are killing them. Promoting destructive messages for monetary gain has always been a vehicle for making money in the black community. Sad but true.

Hot97 from NYC, which is the largest hip-hop station in the world used to do something similar a while go , used to call it something like main chick vs side chick, they would put the dude on three way call on air with both chicks and they would all argue or sometimes the main or side chick would be "cool" with it

Those segments and abortion radio commercial always bothered me

ATL…overly
It's probably one of the best segments on the station :manny:

Durrty Boyz are shock jocks now and they've been pushing their show to be edgier & edgier since they took over for Cocoa Bruva more than a decade ago. I think they're ranked #1 in Nielsen ratings for their time slot so I can't really hate. Is the segment morally irresponsible? Absolutely. But is it a winning formula? Yes and that's all that matters

yep, and we all know the color of the person who gave this filth the FINAL approval. What makes it even more fukked up to me is one of the hosts J-Nicks said something to the effect of this when the Michael Brown incident jumped off: "the higher-ups told me not to say what i REALLY feel about whats going on". I remember him saying that and i literally went :what:. So basically the white/jew man censored what the host could say about Ferguson, but its ok to glorify promiscuity to the black youth. Propaganda yall.
