because #blacklivesmatter only when whites are killing them. Promoting destructive messages for monetary gain has always been a vehicle for making money in the black community. Sad but true.

Nah don't care about this stuff because one don't live in Atl, second even if I did still wouldn't hear this stuff, third if I did its easy to avoid it, fourth you just seem like you like to complain about stuff that is easily fixable just because. Ok that's all I could think of off the top.So basicly there's this daily radio segment here in Atlanta that plays on 107.9 that encourages callers(male & female) from all over the city to call in and give a "shout-out" to their side-pieces. Mine you, this is being broadcast on the most popular urban station in ATL around 6:00 in the evening. Millions of kids are hearing this everyday. And lets add to the fact that ATL is one of the leading cities in America when it comes to hiv/aids cases. I just cannot wrap my head around how this segment was given the greenlight. It is HIGHLY irresponsible. I cannot even remotely imagine this type of segment being able to be broadcast on any other stations besides this one aimed at the black youth demographic. My question is, why is our censorship standards set so low compared to everyone else? Why do we seem not to care about the content going into our minds, especially the youth? Where's our morals as a people? I was literally shocked the 1st time i heard this when i moved here. There's lots of Atlanta brehs on this site i would like for yall to weigh in. Am i the only one disturbed by this? If so, that speaks to a waaaay bigger problem in our community.
I remember 103.5 KTU in NY used to do some similar shyt.It was called "War of the Roses" and someone would call the radio station and have the DJ call up there wife/gf/husband/bf (whoever they suspected of cheating) and tell them that they getting free flowers. Only catch is they can't send it to them directly they have to send it to a person they were seeing. Some people would fukk up and send the flowers to their side chick while their main would be on the line with the DJ and then ambush their ass. I remember one person called in while he was outside a coffee shop watching his girl.
Haven't listened to the show in years but that shyt was hilarious as fukk.

It's probably one of the best segments on the station
Durrty Boyz are shock jocks now and they've been pushing their show to be edgier & edgier since they took over for Cocoa Bruva more than a decade ago. I think they're ranked #1 in Nielsen ratings for their time slot so I can't really hate. Is the segment morally irresponsible? Absolutely. But is it a winning formula? Yes and that's all that matters

"nikkas have side pieces have done since the beginning of time whats outrageous about this?
It's not a reason to promote (and to normalize) those kind of behaviors in the community.

I guess these dudes wouldn't have minded if there was a segment promoting crack on urban radio in the 80's because "it wouldn't exist if people didn't enjoy smoking crack"
nikka the shyt is already normal in the community
Yeah cuz crack = p*ssy
