all house games are not in your favor though, point blank period their bad investments... the only game i play when i go to the nino with friends is baccarat out of principle...

atleast sports betting allows for angles... the more games of black jack u play, the more you guarantee ur eventual losses.

None are. That's why I prefer to play poker where the house edge doesn't exist (unless you count rake as a form of payment)

As for Blackjack it's actually possible to turn the house edge to <2% or in some cases strictly in your favor.

IF there was any game I'd tell someone to learn if they want to make money it's blackjack: simple strategy to abuse, can be learned in 15 minutes, and once you find the right rule set you are good to go.

So I recently got into sports betting because of a stupid younger cousin of mine who introduced me to it, and today I can say it has completely crushed me.

I dropped $750 on Miami Heat beating Cavs :( I know, but the odds were crazy and would've raked in over 6k.
I also dropped 1k on Memphis to beat OKC. Again I was lured by the hefty payout.

So to make the money back I immediately dropped 1.5k in the 4th Quarter for Dallas to beat Utah by +7, that didn't happen as Utah almost won :(

Now I am seething, I literally emptied my bank account to win all that back. I dropped 1.6k on Houston to beat Clippers. They lost :sadbron:

Now I'm broke as shyt with $90 in my bank account. I just transferred $50 to my sportsbook account to start all over :(

I have no idea what got me to this. I've never been a gambler in my life. But I made some money early and thought I could keep winning.........

I have 1.8k coming in next week, this time I'll stick with the favourites. I'm getting that money back!! And then quitting for good.

Moral of the story is folks, don't gamble. You may win some, but in the long you you'll ALWAYS lose.

these dudes had a worse day/week

You need discipline and hard work to gamble regularly.....otherwise just treat it as a recreational once and while thing.

If you're a recreational gambler and just want to gamble every once and while you just gamble what you can afford to lose....and stop when you lose too much. That's easy.

Now, If you want to regularly gamble then you need to have system for how you place bets and you need to set aside a bankroll for how much you want to gamble (separate from your life). If you have $2000, you really shouldn't be betting anymore than $40 a game (2% of your roll). Doesn't sound like a lot but it will add up over time and will save you from the swings. If you come out and go 0-5 on your first five plays you won't be broke and have to chase......which is when the real damage to your bankroll is done.

My credit account bookie told me the other day that he straight up fades his losing players when they're chasing....You're not thinking rationally and will bet on anything. If you can avoid the chase zone, you'll be okay. If you find that you're betting too much and chasing your losses, you're betting too much.

I had one day where I tilted using a credit line....and lost 2200 in 1 day. If there's one thing about gambling is that you deserve every situation you put yourself into.....Your good and bad habits will catch up to you, for better or for worse. The number ONE key to gambling is money management. I was legit hitting 65 percent of my NBA plays and 54 percent of my NFL plays before I tilted....I thought it would never end, then regression came and I couldn't handle the swings because I was betting so much........Then it became like quicksand and sunk me. Looking back it was one of the best things that could ever happen to me......I had like 4 straight winning NFL seasons, not really realizing the difference between luck and skill.....didn't realize my bad money managing habits....and that made me wake up to the fact that I have to manage my money better and have some sort of a system in order to win long term.

also just like poker you should never have 10% of your bankroll in play at any given time... if you do... you've hit degeneracy and are like a full fledge member of d-generation x

if you hve 500 bucks that you can bet with and dont need for rent or anything... you shouldnt be betting more than 50 dollars on any bet...

If you have 500 bucks.....10 dollars a game should be standard and 25 dollars a game should be max.

As someone who used to be into sports betting heavy Im just gonna say it bluntly: you are a fish.

Even if you didn't know how to value betting lines, why the fukk would you bet on Houston beating the Clippers on a road b2b without getting points?

Tip for the future: knowing the odds are nice, knowing the expected value is how you make money.

Yeah that was a pretty bad bet from him...

The wild thing is , I actually bet on that game...

I had Houston first half +1.5 (they were winning at Half)
Clippers 2nd half
2nd half Under...

all 3 covered. I tend to fade the Clippers every time I can....hence my Rockets 1st half bet. I knew this was a poor spot for the Clippers.

My partner and I went on a trip to Atlantic City and he lost all his money. I wake up in the middle of the night to find out this tool was gone, and so was the money out my pants pockets.
I jumped up like

I went down to the casino to put my hands on him when I saw some Italians that had beat me to him. They had him in a little side street, two were holding his arms behind a tree while the third was giving him work to the mid-section. I left the scene, and the hotel. Haven't talked to him since

:laff: What in the baby blue hell?

flipped £10 ($15) into £4,600 ($7,010) over a very good weeked of Premiership gambling about two years ago. I'm never going to see that kind of win again.
biggest loss was putting £1000 ($1500) on Everton to beat Wigan in the FA cup semi final. Everton were down 2-0 in 30mins :mjcry:

:dead: Evertonians ain't shyt
smh @ thinking you can win it back easily. you're hooked.
one time i lost a bunch & couldn't sleep. ended up betting on tennis matches in qatar at 2 am. didn't know the players & couldnt even find the live scores. i was like wtf am i doing & just quit after that. its a stupid hobby, too much trouble for a small amount of money

gambling takes away the fun and enjoyment out of sports:patrice:

that shyt's not for me

same for me. that shyt stresses the hell outta me. same goes for casino gambling. I can't handle it. plus I never really win, so it's not a vice that has ever been appealing to me.

TS went full retard like my friend the first time he went to Vegas. Never gambled in his life and he was waiting to meet up with us at a Hotel. Walked by a roulette table and decided to drop 500 bucks on black. Won that, then he drops another 500 and won. Was up like 2000 bucks. Kept playing and lost his original 500. Pulled out another 500 lost that. Ended up losing 2500 and he had to sleep on our room floor cause he had no money left for the trip. :russ:

I have won a couple times in the casino playing black and red in roulette, but there's nothing that'll make you more :fire: as when that little ball lands on the 00.

My fukking barber was betting on NHL Games...:heh:

This nikka got like 2 babymothas from hell and most of his kids hate him

nikka wont pay child support, but he'll bet on NHL...:dead:

And this is why no one respects gamblers.

My degenerate friend made sure I gave him a plus one to my wedding with this quote "I`m not some dirtbag, i`ll cover her too" then he shows up, no date, no card or anything, no gift.

The next weekend he's talking about he got 300 on Denver.

The money and the gambling control these dudes souls
