So who is looking to sign up for "Obamacare" in about 2 weeks?

nah. I got 5 kids and plus my wife barely found out she has breast cancer. So i'm sure it would be way more if I look else where than my employer insurance

I'm assuming you are in texas or the south according to your avatar. Yeah it would probably be cheaper to stay on employer insurance since republicans in those states are doing their best to prevent obamacare from expanding. But still try and see you never know if you will get a cheaper rate on the exchange. You can look, you don't have to sign up or pay for anything.

Currently unemployed. If I can afford it then I'll sign up.

Me too, I signed up anyway, got told to apply for medicaid in the meantime, which I cant cause my state didn't expand it.
Just got off the phone with a rep and they tell me that there's going to be an exemptions/subsidy part to the application that looks into that for us. Too bad it don't work yet.

This obama care is wack so far. My company just send out a letter saying our medical will go up and the cheapest plan on the plan table was $138 a check, going from $10 a check to $138 is insane. There might be cheaper plans on the exchange they also note.

I will be curious to see if this becomes a major occurrence where employers try to price themselves out of the health insurance game which was a concern that some detractors of Obamacare voiced during the fight over the law.

I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow and see what I find out.

I work for myself and my income fluctuates a lot so it'll be interesting to see what they give me for numbers. The other thing is I don't want to half ass it. If I'm going to pay I want everything.

My company now says to ignore the letter. No price jump for medical. I feel bad for other divisions that don't have cool clients like my division does.
