Word. Even the artists dont either. You just won't hear Jack White or The Black Keys say fukk Muddy Waters lol
This is thread is exactly why I feel in 15-20 years...hip hop will be mostly white rappers
while we will have moved on to create another new genre of music. Looking at history, we're about due lol
Hopefully this time we will be more protective of it.
there won't be another outlet for music created in America.
as the government limited the scope of music education on purpose.
so, no new cultural or musical expression would rise again.
hiphop was just the product of that situation by kids who had the music programs.
then, it was taken away over night.
the ingenuity, and electronics based mediums hiphop sprung to.
to match the loss of those programs.
sprung up from vocational schools being predominate in a grassroots bluecollar worker based America.
that was dashed away from the babyboomers, to the great recession.
so, the ability or intrigue to make music, and the technology to do it.
was all in the pocket of that gen, to make hiphop, dj'n, and emcee'n.
that time will never come again.
plus, sampling was made to costly to provide a proper do it yourself music education to close the gap.
nowadays, kids have all the resources, you wished you could have had at your finger tips.
yet, their is no prevalent culture to direct the new gen.
to actually study or be into music enough to create a new genre.
you guys are on borrowed time, and watching the death of anything creative, pretty much.
not to mention,....
everyone is conditioned to be a mental midget.
so, the culture to cultivate the minds and ideas to create something new has been squelched.
that is why people who are bboys/bgirls who are into hiphop are so vocal.
as, the people who are not.
don't realize,..... the result of their cultural ineptitude and being preyed upon will put them.
