Ok...I mighta been a lil disturbed...but nah you shouldnt have read that in a yell lol. These new school nikkas just have me effed up when they discredit 4's for not being outside shooters. It disturbs me when people think they know basketball, but don't see the value in a player that can create 2nd opportunities. "B-b-b-b-but he he he don't defend". What he does do offsets that...big time. Moreso than Amare and Bargnani do.
I didn't say Faried doesn't have value, I said bringing him here will create the illusion (which you have already fallen for) that this team will be better. This team won't be better, they'll still suck because they only play well when they work as a team and one player cannot hide 6 players who refuse to work within the flow of teamwork

Edit: oh and like I said in the last post...fruitless argument, Knicks have nothing to offer to get him anyway

‘Betrayal’: J.R. Smith appears to take shot at Knicks over brother

The move to cut his brother was not yet official, but J.R. Smith took to a social media outlet Monday apparently to vent.

Smith posted this photo Monday on Instagram showing Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone in character from the movie “Casino” with the quote: “You know the sad thing about betrayal? It never comes from an enemy.”

Chris Smith is expected to be released Tuesday, when the Knicks officially are expected to sign 6-foot-10 Jeremy Tyler from their D-League affiliate, the Erie BayHawks. Chris Smith was not on the court when media were admitted to Knicks practice Monday. Tyler arrived in Manhattan Sunday night. The younger Smith, who played a total of two minutes for the Knicks, received a guaranteed deal for near $491,000.

There has been unproven speculation that Chris Smith’s roster spot was part of a package deal to guarantee J.R. Smith re-signed with the Knicks. But an executive from a rival team rumored to have been in the Smith mix insisted his team had not been interested and “the Knicks were bidding against themselves” for the reigning Sixth Man of the Year Award winner. But the elder Smith seemed angered Monday.

Apparently, a quote from another mob film, “Goodfellas,” would have done little to soothe the Smith brothers: “Sometimes, even if people didn’t get out of line, they got whacked.”
---------------------------
J.R. Smith was given an easy day Monday, Woodson said, following a bout with some flu-like symptoms plus some heavy minutes in the Toronto set (43 and 39).

“He shot some today, yes. He was kind of taking it easy, kind of [a] precautious day,” Woodson said. “Played a lot of minutes this weekend and so he ended up coming out and shooting some along with Melo and Raymond and Pablo.

“So he was just taking it easy today. He played a lot of minutes … coming off flu-like symptoms. He’ll be ready to play.”

Agreed. So let it go. I didnt ask you to quote me and I didn't say 'oh the Knicks should trade for Faried now'. I said they shoulda got him when they had the chance. You say Denver passed. Ok fine. I'da passed too on a straight swap if I was Denver. You won't find me in any post saying Faried is a season saver. But I think we'd at least be 12-18 thanks to a few extra posessions we didn't get en route to going 9-21. Even as is, this team shouldnt be on the outside looking in in the Atlantic division. That's disgusting. You disagree as is your right, but don't mistake your opinion for a fact. You Ain't Got All The Answers, Jay!! :yeshrug:
