nah breh... you not getting away with that

almost is a vague ass word... mlk getting fukking holidays and street artist paintings on your grandma's wall... having nikkas march on washington and a few other places... only to be murdered because of how powerful he become

i need you to explain EXACTLY how close you feel tariq is going to be to MLK here in 20 years... cause that was a bold fukking statement

i see it every day breh.... nikkas WANT and LOVE to sell drugs... live in good homes... come from good families... black as you and me... and instead of just going to class, hitting the books, applying for jobs... start hustling weed, coke and molly the first fukking chance they get

talking bout "i can't work for that slow money"

but it was good enough for our parents and uncles and aunts and older brothers and sisters in church to work at walmart or the gas station or on cars or work 3-4 jobs to make ends meet

now these kids like "fukk that job shyt... i'ma sell these percs"
It is bold, but hidden colors has already changed the world. Tariq really made history cool with his use of social media, and of course his podcasts. That was really the ONLY way to reach the youth. I never seen teens sharing historical memes, or conscious memes and now you see it allot more, and if you trace them down to where they came from. Most of them have something to do with something or somebody that was involved with hidden colors. He popularized the word c00n, and he's really just now getting national attention. He's been underground for a long time, and say what you want but he is one of the main people in this country actually giving out knowledge and gave a platform to the dr.umars and the claudes, and etc. He's giving information to people that even a child could interpret and its only going to get bigger from here on out. MLK only got that holiday and the accolades because blacks forced whites to. But as far as impact globally I think tariq can get up there. It's easier today. One movie can wake up thousands.

I've heard Tariq say people are c00nin if they bring up the massive amount of shootings in Chicago.

And in one of his lectures in Chicago he stated the reason for the shootings is not the gangs the reason is what created the gangs and he states their are 2 reasons for the gangs.

1. High number of employment in young black males.

2. The segregation of Chicago

He then follows his statement about the segregation of Chicago of stating how on LA a black man can find a job in the valley or elsewhere. But then in Chicago it's no where a black man can go even on the outskrots to get a job because they are being shut out of the job market just due to their blacknesd.

To me this is the type of excuse making that will never lead to solutions for the black community.

When are black people going to discuss SOLUTIONS and stop making excuses.

I refuse to believe that Chicago can't get better and I won't blame the "white man" for why 20 dread head nikkas shoot people every weekend.

Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
Why are y'all trying to make Tariq Nasheed a leader in the black community? He did his part with educating our people with the Hidden Colors film series. He's done a lot more than a lot of his critics. I'm not a stan of his but I appreciate the good that he's doing. Kinda of funny that another Tariq thread popping up when Hidden Colors 4 is debuting within the next week or so. :francis:

He always said that was not A LEADER! This just shows the lack of comprehension with ghetto black folks. Dude is a teacher. He is giving you the real.

It's no different from LA in the earlier 90's. Any place that has disenfranchised people, there is going to be a lot of crime.
disenfranchised has to do with voting, not economics, and like I said, economically lately in the US there isn't a hard link between crime and high unemployment.
Unemployment or a decrease in labor particpation has not alligned with an increase in crime, its actually been the opposite, unemployment has increased labor participation rate has fallen and violent crime and murder has continued to decrease to near record lows.

i can respect that... that's why i asked, because i was hoping you had a real answer and wasn't just talking out your ass. i can definitely see your point

the only thing i would disagree with, is that mlk brought about actual change, where i think tariq is more of a teacher, as others have said

mlk brought changes in laws, changes in the fukking constitution, changes in our everyday lives... where we weren't sharing memes and talking a good game.. we was out in the streets performing actions on some "dr king said we need to do.................." and had old and young out there risking their LIVES to bring about a different life

now was mlk informing us of anything? no i can't say i learned anything from him... but that wasn't what he was doing.. he was out there leading us, as a nation of black people, to get shyt accomplished... and we accomplished it

i wish tariq would stop with the "i'm not a leader" talk, and actually grip up this youth and push them towards doing something. if people are doing what you say, the next logical step, would be to tell them where to direct that new found knowledge, and lead them to that goal of destroying white supremacy

then i'll put him up there with the legends

Tariq isn't looking for solutions for the black community because solutions would then mean he would have to get a real job. He has turned our issues into a business all under the guise of black

unity/empowerment. Don't forget to buy Moorish Kingdom though...

What's a real job?

Always
No black man brave enough to speak some truth is a part of the problem. The problem is all this divisive bullshyt. We're all black and we all have to deal with black issues everyday.

There are groups of people I wish weren't black because I think they're a part of problem. I realized recently when I do that I become a part of the probem.

Being a former criminal isn't anything to be ashamed of. Remaining a criminal is shameful. Think about it.

The thing is none of you nikkas ever suggest alternative black folks to listen to and why we should listen to them instead of Tariq. Nobody asking you lames to fukk with him.

Now as far the cacs, I can understand yall cave mutants feeling threatened by any black person promoting economic empowerment for their people. Yall got good reason to be scared because we waking up and its coming.

The point he was making is poverty and the lack of upward mobility creates a culture of crime and violence. This is true and can be seen in pretty much any background of people where those problems exist.

To completely ignore that point and harp on black people need to do better is some bullshyt. Yes poverty doesnt make people kill people..but it does aid in the mentality that their lives are worth less then others....so why care about another in that aspect. You say you want a solution..well that is the root of the problem....its not an excuse...therefore people like YOU are the problem. You want change of appearance but dont care to address the issues underneath. Thats Americas problem. The white man is to precious to be called out on their bullshyt. Black people need to do better while whites are excempt from issues they directly created.
