He opened his show talking bout how easy Tomlin had it when he took over and how he agrees all the way with Bradshaw. Said media gives Tomlin a pass but it's cool to criticize Tom Coughlin and coach K.

Then he said big Ben is top 20 player in history of watching NFL haha I was killing a smoke and that shyt made me cough for 3 minutes straight when he said that shyt haha.

I was at an airport bar waiting on a delayed flight and some CaC was going on about how Tomlin was a bad coach and then it popped up on the screen that either the Saints were considering canning Sean Payton or that ESPN was gonna discuss if the Saints should can Payton and this CaC went on a rant in disbelief that the Saints would consider firing Payton.

How can you shyt on Tomlin in one sentence and then praise Payton in the next? What the hell has Payton accomplished that Tomlin had not? :mindblown:

The transparency of these CaCs never ceases to amaze me :mjpls:

Yeah amazing that Cowher lost 4 AFC championship games AT HOME.

But when we got Ben, we went 15-1 and lost to a cheating team in the AFC championship game (one of the previously mentioned 4) and then won the Super Bowl the next season.

Cowher was amazing at building a team - EXCEPT the QB position. From what I've read, he had to be dragged kicking and screaming to even draft Ben. His teams were almost always a better QB away from SB's and Ben proved it. That's why it's hard for me to be all nostalgic about the Cowher days. But I've already made my thoughts on Tomlin pretty clear too. Belichick is like the Saban of the NFL - he essentially raises everyone else's expectations because it's easy to point to their winning ways and say "why can't our guy do that? We have a great organization too". But if it were that simple, more people would be doing it. Besides, their asses cheating anyway.

He might be exaggerating with Ben being a top 20 all time player, but in general I agree with Colin's take. I mean.. in the past 5 years we have one playoff win (thanks to the Bungles bungling). He lost the Tebow game which was ALL coaching, by stacking the box with 8 or 9 guys leaving a weak secondary to get burned, which they did REPEATEDLY. We lose to sub-.500 teams with regularity, affecting playoff positioning (or if we even make the playoffs at all) every single season. The team rarely plays with sharp focus or discipline - we see them operating to their potential only a couple times a year, leaving you wondering where THAT team you saw in weeks 2 and 5 went for the rest of the year. They beat themselves with penalties, buy into their own hype and overlook teams then lose, and often look out-of-sync/off timing. They are not "buttoned up" as he said. With this kind of talent, the defense finally coming around and playing like an elite defense, and Ben/AB/Bell all together and healthy headed into a weak AFC playoffs, we have NO excuse to not at least make it to New England. None. None at all. Yet somehow I'm worried about it anyway.

Let's see Terry Bradshaw talk his way around this shyt.

You could have waited until next week when they play a team that doesn't have pretty much its entire secondary out as well as a back-up QB.

One playoff win since 2010 and that was against a Marvin Lewis led Bengals team last year. If they didn't beat down this Dolphins team, it'd be disappointing.

I'm not saying he's a bad coach, but I don't think he's a "great" coach.

“We Do Not Seek Comfort” | The Players' Tribune
I don’t think I’ve ever seen our locker room so down after a loss. But when we had our team meeting on Monday, Coach Tomlin kept repeating the same phrase:

“We do not seek comfort.”

In other words, we do not look for excuses for why we’re 4–5. Instead, we take a hard look at ourselves. We’re brutally honest with each other, and then we make adjustments.

And that’s what we did from that day on. We dug ourselves out of that 4-5 hole. We didn’t panic. We embraced the adversity and kept fighting. That’s the Steeler Way.

That starts at the top with Coach Tomlin. Everybody in Steeler Nation heard Terry Bradshaw’s “cheerleader” comment last week. It was a very, very poor choice of words — and also a complete misrepresentation of who Coach Tomlin is. Let’s not get it twisted. Coach made his bones in this league as a defensive X’s and O’s specialist, not as a motivational speaker. He led this franchise to two Super Bowls despite all the pressure that comes with following in the footsteps of two coaching legends like Chuck Noll and Bill Cowher.

Coach Tomlin is our leader. He’s a master motivator and a coach’s coach, not a cheerleader. And we ride or die with him. Period.

The only thing you can do is beat the teams on your schedule.
Now it's Tomlin's fault he was up against Miami?

:beli:

You're smarter than this. Nobody is saying that.

I'm saying it's an interesting time for you to bump a thread that discusses whether he is great or not. You can only beat the teams on your schedule and I'll never fault a coach, player, or team for that. This wasn't a game that would change anyone's mind.:manny:.

I'd say the same about that idiot John Harbaugh. I can't stand that crybaby. Him and Tomlin always crying.:scust:.

There are comments in this thread about how Tomlin needed to win a playoff game.

He's 14 minutes away from doing it.

Now we move on to the next excuse against Tomlin

I enjoy listening to Cowherd but he was just throwing shyt at the wall criticizing Tomlin (why doesn't he have more SB wins, why is he not winning more when he has Ben going against Flacco & Andy Dalton). It was embarrassingly bad radio
