Kyrie isn't a CP-type creator (and likely never will be), but he's a good passer and facilitator who's main role on teams has been more geared towards scoring than passing. It's all about finding the right balance - which neither Kyrie or Wall have managed to find yet.
scoring PGs:

Lillard - 32
Curry - 92
Westbrook - 177
Lowry - 69
Rose - 51

that's not an excuse. Isaiah has the same amount as him, and he's been a bench player most of his career

Why are you putting out an arbitrary standard without the proper context? Why are you not taking into account the points scored on better efficiency, that he has over Lowry and Lillard? Why are you mentioning Curry, Westbrook and Rose when they were/are better players than Kyrie?

It's hard having a reasonable discussion when it comes to Kyrie, when dudes only really started watching him regularly when LeBron returned home. And they think they can just connect the dots with some meaningless stat grouping like "double doubles", in the seasons they didn't watch.

Kyrie still has time to turn his career around as far as how he is thought of in the future when it comes to elite players. The talent and team is there for him right now to dominate and get the headlines just like Curry is. He will never be a pure point guard in the Chris Paul sense but he needs to have a better feel for the position and learn how to get his teammates easy buckets. We can only hope that it comes with time but the excuses are running out as far as him getting to that next level.

Damn Kyrie regressed hard this year. Should have traded him.
Do y'all muhfukkas even watch games? Why are y'all talking like Kyrie ain't been working his way back after being out for the first quarter of the season?

He just had a decent stretch before the All-Star break - 27 ppg on 56% shooting and 6 assists. But let's all ignore that.

That's what I mean. It needs to happen no later then next season or I believe that Kryie may be cursed with the Marbury Francis shyt where cats knew he was a baller but all his scoring and antics didn't lead to any team success. Kyrie is even worse off then them cause at least they took teams to the playoffs as the lead dog. Kyrie had to wait for Bron to come back in order for that to happen. He needs to take advantage of it.

Last year this thread is blasphemous. This year it has some credence.

Kyrie since returning from injury has not been the same. His 3 point shot is horrible (really flat), he has regressed back to "tunnel vision mode" when he has the ball (like when Mike Brown was coach), and he never gives even 50% on the defensive end.

It is disappointing to watch as a Cavs fan because I have watched every game the kid has ever played and he is way better than how he's been so far this year. If his shot is off, he is really not doing anything to justify him being on the floor. Kid has no pride and looks like he's just out there for the paycheck.

It's sad and irritating to watch.

You don't think coaching and how players are utilized are a factor in all of this?

And how does the rest of the team get a pass?
