The most clutch shots in the playoffs, in the last five seasons. Jason would never....

:mjlit:
Don’t know why you @tted me then removed it.

Lowry has been exceptional on both ends of the floor the past few games and at times in the Finals last year. It’s been impressive how he’s finally got into shape and turned around his playoff misery’s from the past.

He’s still not better than Jason Kidd. And you still love arguing on the internet more than you love basketball.

Yes, he is.

fukk all the accolades, career-rankings and narrative-based rhetoric; all that bullshyt is just a distraction from what really happens on the floor. Lowry's proven that he can play at a higher level than Kidd ever did, 1000x over. Anyone that argues any different doesn't know a cotdamn thang about the game.

@Gil Scott-Heroin you've been doing the Lord's work since day 1 on Lowry
:wow:

Saw what the casuals couldn't...
:wow:

Everybody with two eyes and a brain knows that Lowry is an elite point guard because he is a Swiss army knife when it comes to his abilities and he's more well-rounded than a lot of PGs in his overall game.

He's also one of the best leaders in the NBA.

Who you fooling forreal?

If Lowry goes 3 for 18 in game 7 you’ll have another emergency business trip to Asia that will last until he has another good game.

You don’t even like basketball.

Don’t think I didn’t see you in the OKC/Rockets thread doing victory laps, when you set yourself up to be “right” no matter the outcome.

Because...YOU DONT LIKE BASKETBALL!

How can you really be knowledgeable about something you don’t even respect?

Something has always been off with you, but it is what it is.

Props to Lowry for hooping. Hoping to see a good competitive game 7.

But no matter how it goes down.

You're resorting to ad hominem because you finally realize how much of a fool you were from the beginning.

You weren't even paying attention to any Raptors games, besides the ones against LeBron in the playoffs, just like all the other Casuals on this board, on top of the fact that you already had a limited and warped perception of Lowry's play. Which meant, whenever he lost to Bron/Cavs, it would fuel your confirmation bias, as if losing to arguably the greatest player the game's ever seen, in his prime, is somehow the summit of shame, and then have the nerve to use that against Lowry in this context, as if Kidd's early-00s Nets squads wouldn't get blown off the face of the Earth coming up against Bron.

Shameless, disingenuous bullshyt trying to clown Lowry for losing to Bron and using it to stoke the fires of this argument.

This is Lowry's record in the playoffs over the last five years (v. Bron-led teams aside):

8-0 series wins
More Playoffs wins than any player in the Eastern Conference.

He's literally had more success than any other player in the conference over the last half a decade, and yet somehow, the narrative of his play on this board runs contrary to that, all because of cats like you distorting reality.
If Lowry goes 3 for 18 in game 7 you’ll have another emergency business trip to Asia that will last until he has another good game.
Lowry could go 0 for 100 in Game 7, and literally nothing would change.

He's already proven he's a better player than Kidd ever was, at any stage of his career. Deal with it.

That's not how it is.

I DON'T RESPECT fukk nikkaS LIKE YOU!

It's impossible for genuine discourse to exist on this board when muh'fukkas like you don't ever want to change your ways of thinking. Cats like you aren't even watching the games, and you're constantly operating on dated beliefs and romanticizing the past, that y'all can't ever see shyt clearly. It's why I keep upping this thread, so y'all can learn from your mistakes going forward.

It's the only way to dull the sound of the echo chamber that beats the drums of ignorance on this board.
But no matter how it goes down.

And right on cue - you just continue to prove my point.

It was much more than LeBron....Cavs had far better teams much deeper...Lowry should get a ton of respect that he dragged that 2016 team to ECF and took 2 games from Cleveland.Go back and look at that roster,it was really bad in hindsight.

Jason Kidd is one of the most overrated basketball players of all time. He had a 6-7 year prime where he was outstanding and then basically a role player for the last 7-8 years of his career...

He was a brilliant defender, a brilliant passer and creator, had brilliant basketball IQ...

Couldn't shoot worth a damn and his scoring bag was weak. His entire claim to fame is those two Finals runs in the weakest era ever, which, I acknowledge that he was the one to do that in a conference that also had Iverson, McGrady, Pierce, Allen, etc, so im not downplaying it....

But that's the crowing achievement of his career. That, and twice being a Top 5 MVP finalist despite never being a Top 5 player...

Whether Lowry is greater than Kidd, I'm not positive. Lowry is a great basketball player, a much more advanced offensive player who has about 75% of Kidd's defensive abilities. I think the line you have to draw is I don't dock Lowry for losing to LeBron because everyone did, but some of those games he was absolutely embarrassing in--->it aint the loss, its the performance in the loss...

Also, let's not forget that series against the Wizards where John Wall ran circles around him and he choked again...

Lowry is point guard Harden. He's had some big moments to where you cant say he isn't clutch, but he's had enough disappearances that you can't discount them and portray him as Cobra Kai in money time. I do think he's calmed down and improved his composure and level of play with age, the proof has shown that year over year for the most part...

He's better than Kidd was in the latter stages of his career; Kidd was greater in the first half of their careers. Lowry us gonna retire as the face of Toronto basketball, which, while he began his career as a journeyman, is a major accomplishment. Kidd turned out to be a journeyman and isn't the best player ik the history of any franchise he played for...

They both around the same place All-Time. Neither are Top 50, the thing that gets people bent out of sorts is Kidd us routinely credited as being a Top ~35 All-Timer, and a Top ~8 point guard ever, and both are way too generous for him. If people rated him correctly fewer people would be offended at the suggestion Lowry is better, because you can make the argument either way...
