It was much more than LeBron....Cavs had far better teams much deeper...Lowry should get a ton of respect that he dragged that 2016 team to ECF and took 2 games from Cleveland.Go back and look at that roster,it was really bad in hindsight.

forgot how crap this was

@gator_king

The most bewildering thing about all of this is, y'all are doing all this for Jason Kidd. This isn't MJ, Bird, Cap etc that are the pillars on which historical offensive play stands upon. This is a muh'fukka who couldn't score in the half-court to save his life, and yet somehow, because y'all don't want to let go of the past, this tone-deaf agenda to protect him has turned him into a sacred cow.

I don't have enough fingers to count how many players in today's game who've eclipsed the highest level that Kidd ever played at.

Yup people forget the only thing stopping past raptors teams was lebron James.

Relax, they got SWEPT by the Wizards in the first round in 2015. Lowry averaged 12 pts 5 assists and shot 31% in the series.

Lowry used to leave the bench to manage his anxiety in playoff games. Props to him for turning it around but lets not erase history

If were gonna bring up history then lets be honest about it....in 2015 playoffs he had a elbow injury and played thru it...I notice how you didnt bring up the 2014 playoffs or 2016 or any year after right ?

You talked only about the ONE year they got swept in the 1st round where he had had an injury that clearly affected his shooting and didnt even mention it as a caveat. :francis:

This is why its a waste of time arguing about Lowry, nikkas are disingenuous off the top...yall trust the NBA hot take media way too much for ur info.

He should've sat then. He was awful...

Hes tough,he wont sit outside of a broken leg....He doesnt care about the hot takes of fans...Hes had great playoffs that dont even get talked about.

He has been overplayed this series, was clearly fatigued in game 5 and still didnt use it as an excuse.

The most clutch shots in the playoffs, in the last five seasons. Jason would never....

:mjlit:

How did you @ me in this?

Why didn't you @ me last game?

Why can't you admit Lowry is good but Kidd was better? When Kidd had 10 point games, it was in a lower scoring era where you did not need multiple offensive options. Please explain why Game 6 tells us more about Lowry than Game 5.

Why didn't you @ me last game?.
Would you have liked me to @ you last game?

:lolbron:

I don't see how tagging you last game, as opposed to this game, would change the directive. I mean I could've tagged you after he balled out in their two previous wins, making all those clutch plays, but wouldn't your response be exactly the same, stating why I didn't tag you when they were in 0-2 hole? Are we going to keep doing this cycle, until you actually see that him performing at this level, at this age, was something that Kidd never managed to do. He's not going to perform well in every single game, or win every single game, so I don't see the sense in trying to use that logic as if it takes away from the overall point here. I mean, after all, we are comparing him to Kidd, who was one of the most inconsistent stars of his era.

Because it isn't even remotely close to being the truth. You've already died on this hill, and it seems you want to be a cat and do it another eight times.

:picard:

I mean, I just posted an infographic of how dominant he's been over the last five years of the playoffs (not just one meaningless game I conveniently upped the thread for), and yet you've still got your head stuck in the sand. What's it going to take? Five titles and five FMVPs? Is having as many clutch plays as LeBron over an extensive period of time, not enough for you to at least acknowledge that my position has some validity? Is being in the conversation for one of the best PGs (in a time where the position is as deep and talented as ever), and dominating in the playoffs in his mid-30s, not enough for you to at least acknowledge that my position has some validity, when Kidd was a role player at the same stage of his career?

  • one is a unanimous HoF
  • one is a championship tested, perennial all-star
  • both players are great (at different trajectories).

:what:
why did this need over 100 pages?

If you haven't noticed, I don't post much here anymore.

You are basically admitting the last game didn't suit your agenda. I don't have an agenda because I bashed Kidd when he actually played for his lack of a reliable jumper.

But... let's be clear here. You are saying Lowry is better because if you ignore all his many bad games, that greatly outnumber his good games, he scores more points than Kidd.

So i will stipulate that you are correct. If you take out the fact Lowry did nothing for his prime years, and then ignore all his garbage performances in the playoffs, and you focus entirely on the fact he has some good scoring games, he is a very impressive player. In the same way you are a great poster if I ignore the fact you stan Kyle Lowry.
