Those early-00s Nets squads dominated because of their team defense (#1 ranked in 2002 and 2003, when they went to B2B Finals), and not their offense, which was below league-average. There's virtually no margin between Lowry's and Kidd's respective defensive capabilities, and for the sake of argument, even if there was, Lowry would not only make it up on the offensive end, but he would exceed it.

The Nets were running through trash ass teams in the Eastern Conference during its lowest point in the last 20+ years.

There's a reason why Kidd never made it out of the first round in the Western Conference

If J.Kidd played in this era his stats would've increased across the board...Probably would've avg something like 20p/9r/12a during his prime.

Also, Kidd never played with a tier 1 all-star during his prime like some of the other great pg's......and when he did (Nowitzki) he won a championship.

Remember the eye test shows Kidd to be one of the best defensive PGs in history, able to guard multiple positions. Look at the closeout moments during the Mavs finals run and see who 38 year old Kidd was guarding throughout the playoffs.
