You know I respect your hoops knowledge, and Lowry is great. Super underrated. And I'm not a Jason Kidd Stan.
Just don't think he'd take Kerry Kittles, Richard Jefferson, Kenyon Martin, and Luscious Harris to back to back finals
Those early-00s Nets squads dominated because of their
team defense (#1 ranked in 2002 and 2003, when they went to B2B Finals), and not their offense, which was below league-average. There's virtually no margin between Lowry's and Kidd's respective defensive capabilities, and for the sake of argument, even if there was, Lowry would not only make it up on the offensive end, but he would exceed it.
The Nets were running through trash ass teams in the Eastern Conference during its lowest point in the last 20+ years.
There's a reason why Kidd never made it out of the first round in the Western Conference
There's a reason why Kidd never led a team past the second round, apart from those two seasons.
And besides, I don't think it matters whether or not Lowry would or wouldn't have taken those Nets squads to the Finals. That shyt is all circumstantial. I'm strictly talking about what they can do on the court; none of this accomplishment shyt, or any other arbitrary nonsense that muh'fukkas use to scale players because they're incapable of using their own measurements and judgment.
