No lol malta said lowery was better flat out..

And even if that was the case

I doubt kidd would ever shoot below 20% in a series

And have below 5 assist

And get torched by the opposing guard

Kidd was a great defender who guarded both pg and sgs

Only comparison in todays league to kidd would be rondo

Kidd would be avgn 14 12 7 on 50% shooting

On top of great defensive play in this series

Lowery falls short in every category

There's a difference between good and great
:mjlol: Kidd always struggled to score efficiently and he did have a series shooting under 20%.

Receipts....because I KNOW you ain't using Jason Kidd's stats from when he was 40 years old & washed up to say he shot under 20% in a series to compare to Kyle Lowry who is in his prime playing like this:martin:

When has a prime Jason Kidd EVER shot under 20% from the field in a series:ufdup:

Not to mention also spent significant time guarding and neutralizing LeBron in the Finals which provided the Mavericks with some versatility in their line-ups.

Like I said earlier, I get the non-shooting PG argument, but Kidd was more exception than rule because of his strengths in other high-valued areas.

honestly I put them both in the same category.

both fringe type all stars, but not stars by any means.
neither one is a number one guy IMO
Demar is better imo. At least he knows better than to keep air balling threes. Lowry is trash but for some reason thinks he is curry.

Lolz. More like numerical gerrymandering.
You say that like the opposing party isn't doing relatively the same (and like we all don't do in general), except in this case I have #s to back my stance up. Dudes in here are simply going off the handful of games they watched when they were younger, casual fan talking points and an affinity for the past.

The fact that Lowry had proven himself to be a GREATER and more efficent scorer than Kidd ever did, should tell you from the jump that my position isn't unreasonable at all. If you disagree, fine. But don't act like I've committed basketball treason.

kidd can score but he was best served as a distributor... i mean you need something to work with as a pg.. he could prolly get more out of derozan
How so, when DeRozan is better when he works off two dribbles/creating for himself? He's not a catch and shoot type player and he isn't a player who thrives with being set up. You have to give him the ball and allow when to work to his spots. Another thing that is overlooked when it comes to Lowry's playmaking ability - not micromanaging players and letting them do their own thing; giving them the ball when they need to get into rhythm.

Not to mention that Kidd's man would help on DeRozan too, because they would know that Kidd isn't a threat to score like Lowry.
