Nothing wrong with that, at least you can admit that nostalgia could be affecting your judgement. This isn't a Curry v. Kidd comparison where one PG is definitively much, much, much greater; this is a comparison of two players who are basically on the same level (ability and impact wise). I can guarantee you that if there was an EXACT Kidd-replica playing in the game today, that folks wouldn't be so upset at comparing him to Lowry.I always hated on Kidd because I root for the Celtics
He was a good rebounder, defender, had a solid post game and was a very good passer. Would he be in that same tier today? Possibly. Depends on how much his team won. I still would probably take him over Dragic and Lowry but I admit it could be nostalgia

That shyt is crazy disrespectful to Bobby Jackson. Bobby had WAY more heart than this clown.
U absolutely right big dog. Bobby was a better shooter and if he was in era he would be better Lowry
What coulda beenHad enough heart to pump out multiple 30-pt games to knock your bum ass team out of the playoffs. That shyt is crazy disrespectful to Bobby Jackson. Bobby had WAY more heart than this clown.

If you watched him play you would know that it suits his game and if you watch basketball today you would see big men standing on 3 point line with paint wide open. How would his shooting be affected with wide open paint?Pace doesn’t mean shyt when you can’t shoot the ball
U mean to tell me if he didn’t have a Jason Collins and kenyon martin back court he would had more spaceIf you watched him play you would know that it suits his game and if you watch basketball today you would see big men standing on 3 point line with paint wide open. How would his shooting be affected with wide open paint?
His points and assists would be way up.
no way.Not true, at all.I'm not upset at it. The way I look at it is that Kidd has a higher floor with his performance because he wasn't as dependent on scoring. If Lowry is tentative or has an off night with his jumper then he is almost useless
Tryin to make it sound like dude didn't play ass in that series. Barely managed to shoot 40%Had enough heart to pump out multiple 30-pt games to knock your bum ass team out of the playoffs.

.......Went 7 games as the heavy favorites. Almost got single handedly beaten by an old ass d wade. You just gotta let this battle go. Lowry will forever be remembered as a choke artist. It don't matter how much you argue, this debate is over. Lowry is a joke. The dishonesty in this post, my cot.....Tryin to make it sound like dude didn't play ass in that series. Not true, at all.
Before's Lowry's meteoric rise on offense, he was known primarily as a defensive/playmaking with all the intangibles type-PG - that ability hasn't left him. There's a reason why he was lauded as the "best team player" and had top-end defensive impact for Team USA in the last Olympics. His offensive ability/shooting really comes secondary to his stock as a player.
Kidd was a terrible finisher. We’re not talking about his assists. That’s not relevant to the conversation. A point guard who can’t shoot from distance or finish at the rim is a liability to their offense. Kidd was a career 40% shooter from the field. He did not put the ball through the basket efficiently at any point in his career. The paint wouldn’t be wide open because teams prioritize defending the rim. It’s not like he was regularly trying to shoot through traffic at the rim anyway. If anything, the player he was late in his career would be more valuable than his prime years in today’s league because you’d have to guard him behind the arc.If you watched him play you would know that it suits his game and if you watch basketball today you would see big men standing on 3 point line with paint wide open.
