I mean, if Kidd existed in the league right now, this wouldn't even be a discussion, it'd just be common knowledge. It's only because these cats are working off an idealized image of Kidd and magnifying his strengths, and comparing him to Lowry and magnifying his faults, that they don't think otherwise. Past v. present. I mean whenever there's the perception he plays bad, everyone amplifies it, but then when there's the perception he has a good game, everyone ignores it.

He could come out and drop 10 consecutive 50-point games in a row and it still wouldn't sway folks.
