keep in front drive defense :russ: that's the stat you gotta run behind when a guy has the same drtg as Thomas :hhh:
DRTG is a team-based stat (based on the lineups you're in, not you're actual individual defense), not an individual one. DRTG really only should be used for defensive anchors, and even then they need a TON of context behind them. In all honesty, defensive stats for guards should be taken with a grain of salt, even ones that are individualized. Pau Gasol had the 9th best DRTG in the league last season (according to STATS), I bet you're not going to start calling him a top-10 defender are you?

I'm putting YOU in context. You the last person that should be defending Kyrie after you been shytting on gunning, no defense, combo guards that get propped up by better players on their team.

Don't make me test this search function doggie
Like who?

You still can't even put my arguments in the proper context, so there's no point referencing shyt.

nikka foh, you call everybody a Bron stan... WE GET IT!:pachaha:
Everyone is NOT a Bron stan, but all the dudes who're creating these Kyrie threads are. It's been happening ever since he wanted to be traded, LeBron stans have been out to drag his name through the mud on some petty, pathetic shyt.

So I take it you don't really follow your own team at all, because any "Cavs fan" would know the lack of wing depth they have when Bron is off the floor greatly affects the team, or the small sample size when he is off the floor and the lack of an offensive structure bears the weight of not being able to find enough rhythm or time to build consistent offense, which just keeps adding to the negative plus/minus during every game.
so Kyrie can't run/lead a team... ok, got you...

:dwillhuh:

How in the hell did you come to this conclusion? He managed to fit alongside LeBron just fine.

First off Lebron is Lebron, nobody on that Celtics team draws more attention than Lebron James ( healthy or not). Secondly, the Cavaliers offense was iso heavy with Kyrie and Lebron so he didn’t have to play off the ball much ( plus Lue substitution scheme avoided this for most of the game).

With the Celtics, it’s offensive motion the WHOLE game. Everybody has to move, Everybody has to Cut, ISO plays aren’t used much in Brad Stevens offense, hence why you saw the Celtics play better without Isiah Thomas.

Kyrie is not an idiot, there’s a reason why he didn’t want the Celtics on his original list. This is the same BS that happened with Hornacek and Carmelo. Motion offense with ISO player= bad situation.

Ah now that I had my two little chuckles on this post

The team has to adjust to the franchise guy.....not the other way around....Stevens may have his utopian idea of what he wants to happen...

but he has to fit his system to maximize Kyrie's tremendous skillset....

of course if he wanna be stubborn about it that is entirely up to him
He was moving the ball fine against the Cavs, even to the point where folk were questioning why is he letting Smart and others handle the ball. Then he has one game where he plays more aggressive and now all of a sudden he can't play in a "ball movement offense"? So I guess if he has another game like he did against the Cavs, does that mean he can play in a motion-based offense?

Hot takes sure are the trend during the NBA season.

so you keep a list of every Bron fan on the Coli because you reply to almost everybody not just the thread starters with "Bron stans"

It's pretty easy to tell who's a LeBron stan on this board. The thread starter is perhaps the biggest one of them all.
