Cold Steel spoils things in Trails in the Sky. Trails in the Sky is better storywise than Cold Steel. Always if possible play things in the order they were released. That's the general rule for all media always do release order because that's how it was intended to be experienced.

Nope.
No but apparently when people beat part 3 there was a to be continued for the last chapter of the Cold Steel saga. Part 4 will be out in Japan in 2018 and more than likely 3 will be out elsewhere in 2018 and 4 in 2019.
Falcom are dikks in the sense that they don't let Xseed localize the games until they've been released in Japan. They haven't smartened up to the worldwide market place and global releases like Square Enix has.
