In a different interview, Bill Collector said he'll be battling Dot on the URL.
It was better he was not signed. It allowed him to get better. There should be a bidding war after that Dubby Dub battle.

That was no doubt BET's contract and probably had very little to do with Smack or his "brand", it's so BET can cover their asses.

who was on UFF that wasn't also under Smack's pg contract? serious question cuz so far every time we've heard they PG's mention it they talk like it was the smack contract

Plenty of guys made an appearance that where never signed like Jay Rell, Ha Double, Danny Myers (who was offered after the UFF but declined).
Remember, a lot of guys where offered contracts after their uff like myers, prez, boom, etc
They only offer contracts to guys they really want to lock down, usually the performers like Boom, Prez, etc. As enjoyable as Dot was, there was nothing in his 3 battle run with the url to justify signing him.
I believe it's a case by case basis. Once the URL is sold on you, that's when they offer the contract.
