lol at them doing an interview together. I know Jaz probably doesn't want to look like a sore loser, but if Official passed out and busted her head open on the concrete, I'm willing to bet that Jaz would just walk away like nothing happened. Jaz looks like she's on the verge of losing her sanity...

This is why people hate Jaz. Just accept competition or shut the fukk up if you are scared to battle regularly.

Ok I gave it a long break and rewatched.. and I got some shyt to say about the Surf/Roc battle, especially seeing a lot of folks saying this was a good/great battle.

Round 1:
The first round of this battle was fukking terrible. Roc said nothing worth remembering aside from "there ain't hard bone in your body ...octopus" and I only remember that because I cringed so hard I almost snapped my spine. Maybe that "I'm on the block, limping with a biscuit, Fred Durst" was funny or something. And Surf seriously said .. "if you need to know of d'white hard then Roc it." Jesus christ.

Round 2:
The second round on Roc's side was almost as bad as the first to me. He had the Dr. Suess line. After that, I'm sorry, but no. Surf started with a damn near 8 bar rebuttal that you nikkas SHOULD be talking about. He also started that round saying "Only thing I believe in that last verse.. was "yo."" That shyt was funny. The rest of his round was decent. This was the first decent round of the battle.

Round 3:
Roc's third was ok. The B'more riot line was alright.. not terribly creative at all, but it was ok. He did more ratchet bars, which I think we're all sick of, and a Sinbad/send bad word stretch that did not impress me. The "even my old bae told me this crab's not seasoned enough" is a good line for the 12 baltimore nikkas who watched/attended. The "I will have you in I-V (IV) for (four) the right numeral" was ok. Then the round was over... yet despite Roc's third having the least content, it was his best round of the night.
Surf's third somehow had possibly less content than Roc's. The opening scheme thing he did with the states was dope. The "pop rock in his mouth" line might have been a pause though. The subtitles with the construction shyt was dumb... then not a minute later, the round was over with nothing memorable being said.

I am not a Roc hater (though I don't get his mass appeal), or a Surf hater.. but this battle was midget league as fukk.:stopitslime:

Same quality lyrics we'll sit here and clown if it was on a lesser league, maybe even worse.:camby:
Roc won a snooze fest 2-1

Setting was no different than a typical pg battle

Your saying he wouldn't make it out the pgs, yet he beat a guy in a similar setting who probably has better bars than most pg guys

I meant his material/bars wouldn't be good enough to make it out of the PGs. Wins and losses don't matter in battlerap(we both know this), you have to stand out. Let's be real, If a no name spit the bars Surf spit vs Factor, DNA,and Ill, that no name wouldn't draw any attention. There's too many Surf battles where I think to myself this guy isn't saying anything dope. Surf has his status because he's one of the first smack/URL nikkas, not because he's nice.

even tho he died vs ill no way you can say his 2nd round wasn't a standout

I think URL should chill on signing more people to contracts, if they can get the current SDH crop to sign since they did theirs already, focus on them and the ones they have signed.

Young X had 2 battles and disappeared
Sno disappeared for a minute

This will be 3 pg classes that can all battle with each other to gain noteriety and popularity. And it'll save URL some money to book them rather than paying these vets who openly admits to half assing battles

The only way you make it out of the PGs and get on nikkas radars, is having standout performances/be cold as fukk or live close enough where Smack doesn't have to pay for your travel and hotel I.e. Mr Wavy and Boom. :mjlol:

Random note, but its a damn shame what happened to Yung Ill. From his entrance into URL, he faced Calicoe, Tsu Surf, DNA, Rich Dollaz, Conceited and T Rex with NO clear losses, and he beat Hitman on StreetStatus before all that too. It wasnt even a gradual fall off either, dude was on fire up until the Cortez battle and then all off a sudden lost his shyt. He did aight vs Clips and Shine when he returned, but it was never the same :to:

I've been saying for the longest that Surf wouldnt make it out the PGs with his "bars". Yall don't hear me tho. :sas2:

I said something like this in my post too.. more general though.

There are so many bars and performances that, if the person giving it was a lesser name or in a lesser league, they would literally get laughed at (and by some of the veterans of this board), whereas when the named nikka does it's different. Now don't get me wrong, nigs here will generally call it a bad performance or at least mediocre, but somehow, in 3-4 months, we'll be excited at the next card with that same nikka on it, talkin' bout some "i hope he's focused this time he can be the goat if he wants."

I fell victim to that shyt with Verb for damn near one year, so I can't throw too many stones.. but please bruhs.. let's step out of this slave ass mentality and start spending our replays on the nikkas that deserve it.

I gotta be the one to say it. These spit dat heat nyggas aren't all that to me. They cool, but the way nyggas go crazy over them I just don't see it. There's no way you could get me to rewatch these nyggas battles.
I think its just that most of them are so similar to each other that

He was advanced when he started it's just he hasn't progressed, to some degree it's the same reason Conceited doesn't give you that same feel
