Well I'll say this..... no one should question why the PG's are under exclusive contracts anymore. Unfortunately, they just haven't been able to produce another Holla/Surf/Calicoe/K-Shine etc yet.
URL really has to hope Chess & Wavy show out.

Battle rap needs a new league, with some serious money. Not just rich guys looking to throw a shytty event every now and then (Ether) and bounce.

Exclusive contracts, judged battles and some kind of championship is necessary.

Also, they have to be willing to start completely fresh and use rappers who have never been on Smack or KOTD. We just need a complete reset with STRUCTURE at this point.

I've always clamored about the structure being needed (and got into countless arguments) but at this point the relationships are so bad I just don't know how you continue with the way its going. You need it damn near totally corporate where guys know they are being sued if they pull some funny shyt like breaching contracts and holding deposits.

The minute some corporate can sign 20-30 rappers exclusive and create a league, battle rap will be much better off.

Roc shouldnt have to be reduced to favor battles for Smack.

I know Smack personally said he's gonna get JJDD more battles, but if someone isnt tryna battle him at SM, Then just wait for the next card

That's true.... but he's somewhere between Tech 9 and Hitman to me. Dot could play out quickly if he doesn't keep progressing. I think he still has somewhat of an inside joke status.
