It fukked him up for a while. Even though he did well against bigger names afterwards. Lets keep it a stack joining Cave Gang saved his career.

He has like 50 battles and only about 5 losses
Battlers know he's a killer so they duck the shyt outta him cause the risk/reward ain't worth it to them on some Cortez shyt
The only battle nikkas can mention is the one against Swave
Cortez' problem is that he already battled everyone and the few people he hasn't battled he's either cool with or they passed him so high the battle is too risky.
YK is one of the few people that clearly beats you, so everyone ducks him.

I'm really kinda sick of seeing this assessment of that battle. You would post this and make a novice thing YK got smoked and swave was killing shyt.He got Swave and got bodied

Let's be honest, that was at a point where swave Was known as the gate keeper and YK fukked up in performance, overall that battle is bad and it might even be debatable. Swave literally said nothing and bullied his way to to perceiving that he won. Battle ain't worth watching even a 2nd time, I'm sure you couldn't post 1 bar from that battle you even remember and it in no way should continue to be held over YK head. Verb killed swave a lot worst than swave beat yk. Yet no one holds the verb loss over swave. We can't keep doing this. YK been consistent and prepared and comes with it every battle. Those guys need to be rewarded not have a trash battle that happend like 5 years ago, held over they head.

This is really the answer. I don't know how we can look at tay roc who lost to clips a lot worst than yk lost to swave, again that battle is trash, and continue to hold that over him, but tay roc gets looked at like the come back kid.
YK issue is probably more in the choices of battles he took, leagues he was on. For awhile he was doing a lot of battles on off brand league battling Kung fu Harold and that hurt his brand, cheapened his status.
All the bloggers need to go away at this point. After hearing Rome on AFR it's clear everyone is too attached to their narratives to promote battlers and battles well. All they do is scream their personal biases against certain battlers over each other.
