Although I like this battle (the first to bring it up), Prep doesn't really deserve it at all. He's very fortunate that Norbes is extremely high on this guy.
For Trez, this is a major step backwards. I think Chef vs Chess just makes more sense.
I'm not saying Trez is some guy with huge status, but he worked his way up to get to the Mike P/NJT level. Guys who are on the verge of being regulars on the mainstage. No way those guys would be battling Prep right now. I'm aware that Chef has not been on a NOME, but I can see him getting a slot in the future.
This battle reminds me of the recent Chilla interview on Angryfan. He said Norbes came to him and was like "I need you to do a favor. I need you to battle Cortez."
Chilla should have rejected that. Who really looks good against Cortez? Not too many guys. Imagine if JC had to battle Cortez on his URL run.
Of course, none of this matters if Chef wins convincingly. Could end up being a tuneup.
