Verb is still cold, but the aggression is nonexistent. I just don’t understand how that nyggas voice could project so loud in his prime, and now it sounds like he’s incapable of turning up.

yeah this sums up Verb's problem. Ever since he lost his bark and started with this soft spoken shyt his stuff doesn't hit as hard. Kina reminds me of what happened to Jay Z. Went from having bass in his voice on where I'm from to using the whisper flow :lolbron:

Same thing happened to Bank too, was more aggressive on I'm So Fly and then all of a sudden started sounding high pitched. Though if I recall banks said he switched it up to save his voice

Do you consider Lux bar heavy like Verb and Solomon are? If not how do you see him?

He's the god of the category, I just don't see him as "active". But yeah he's the top of that whole group, he's the final level boss. Jayblac picked up the whole "Lux has to see the winner of JC & Iron Solomon" angle that some of us spoke about on here, so yeah he's always been the final pen boss.

I definitely root for Verb. It just pains me to remember the times he took Ls as glimpses of his greatness still show up. Mook has ammo to work with from Verb's actual record and how the general consensus feels where he has won and lost as well as thoughts on Vegan Verb and etc. Mook, let's face it, is an overtalker and loud which made that face-off look a little one-sided. However, Verb can talk to a nikka when its time and we all know that he will have to with Mook. Counting Verb out because he took more battles while fans count how Mook is undefeated in his rounds is meh to me.

Ah right right, and yeah I agree. He's at the top of the pyramid when it comes to lyrical battlers. At this point I'd be happy with Beloved taking on JC or Iron. JC v Lux would just be a barfest and JC vs Iron would be a barfest with dope angles from both.

When it comes to Mook/Verb I just want a battle that actually lives up to the hype of having two top tiers go at it. I don't want Mook to win again because he was less trash than the other dude, and I don't want Verb to win because Mook shyt the bed.

Just give me a classic :mjcry:

Yeah if the battle doesn't live up to the hype it'll be fukked up for not just them two but RBE and the fans will trash it quickly. I guess first, we need to hope the fukkin' battle is actually good.

I'm relieved to hear Swave is on the same wavelength I'm on. No way you can be from Harlem and let B Dot spin you with kemetic science raps. Growing up in Harlem, we've seen these types all our lives, and unfortunately they've never had a tangible impact on the hood. Plus there's a lot of hustlers in that circle.

The part about Moneybagz was a little cringey, but overall it's genuine. Last time I saw Moneybagz, he was on 125th Street talking to a West African street vendor. I'm not saying he deserves any type of "pass", but he really doesn't mean to offend. Still it should make for good material, B. Dot has to talk about it. Same thing with B. Dot & the Polight affiliation. It's going to make for some good material, Swave has to talk about it.

I'm horribly biased here, but still I'm feeling like Swave is going to walk out of that building with a 2-1 victory on the first watch. This battle is going to be really good.
