1 Budden
2 Cassidy
3 Canibus
4 Los
5 Mickey

I’ve literally never heard someone speak on Mickey outside of battle rap so I’m not really the one who should gauge. If we’re talking strictly popularity that comes from rap music maybe Cass could be first. And I think everyone forgets Mistah Fab battled too lol.

I went back and added Mistah Fab lol.

JJDD brought up a good point. Said Mook needs shorter rounds and not these 5 minute and unlimited rounds. He does stretch his punchlines and his delivery is slow so I don't know if he can.

My question to Blac and all you nikkas sharing his thoughts is:

If everything Verb said was super cold and everything Mook said was either old, a reach or flat out not good then how df was this a good battle???

I don't know who believes either of those first two statements. In an 85 minute battle, theyre both bound to say great and bad material and do great or bad things.

However, the frequency is what separated Verb from Mook in this battle to me

It wasn't meant to be taken literal. But 85% of the bars Tech pointed out that Mook said Blac had a rebuttal for why they weren't hot, and on the opposite end gave the impression that 85% of the shyt Verb said was hot.

So if 85% of what somebody says IS hot and 85% of what the other person said was NOT hot then my question remains the same:

How df was this a good battle???

I have legitimately never watched any of the battle rap bloggers and maybe watched two recaps. Should i be? Something about it all screams annoying, and the core of posters in here are quality already.

Mostly a waste of time. I do think the Watch Battles series from Ruin Your Day is fire though (not recaps but battlers watching popular battles and discussing in real time), but that depends on the guest battlers that are watching and the battles they're checking out.

You don’t think Joe was a respectable independent artist? Plus he had the love and hip hop thing going.

I know people loved to make fun of his relevance because he doesn’t make hit records, but he’s always been pretty relevant in some type of way.

At the time of total slaughter joe was not popular outside of forums and maybe black twitter cuz of love and hip hop, it was mostly internet relevance

I saw random people outside talking about Cass battling again

Ab soul was signed to one of the most respected rap labels and the battle was on the album, perfect rollout cuz the attention was on him (album ended up being weak tho) so he actually had a legit buzz around it
