Funny lisp and religious talk aside, I agree with BT on a good portion of this. I definitely never liked how they did Head ICE. They did Swave wrong but now hooked him back up.

URL wasn't designed for these guys to have all these opportunities outside of battle rap. They don't release music through their brand, and they weren't creating any merchandise for the battlers. And they don't do it, because they don't have to. They know how record labels get down, so they aren't going to offer crazy perks that these guys wouldn't get elsewhere.

We know they've helped guys in need behind the scenes, but there wasn't anything in place to help these guys solidify their footing in the entertainment business.

If you really pay attention to Queenzflip moves it's obvious he was never in the position that 95% of these battlers are in, so it's a pretty unfair comparison.

Not talkin about the league giving them perks

Talkin about the battlers not doing enough (creatively of business wise) to capitalize on the fans they gain through being there

People in entertainment make moves into different lanes all the time doing that

At least every video he's on, Flip says "URLTV.TV" at the beginning or the end. He hasn't shunned the culture in any way either. He's had a bunch of battlers on Flip da Script and still follows the movement

Yea i wouldnt call him a vulture, fukk he supposed to do? Be a battler or a league owner? Plenty of other lanes exist outside of that for him to make his bread

Def thought he was a vulture at the beginning, but looking back he was just testing out different shyt while he had attention on him, which is what more battlers (especially these vets who still depend on battling) should be doing

i feel you


but on the other hand, alot of groups (science, technology, engineering, etc.) do the same, it's basically for people who want that super scholary mastery in a skill from professionals who actively learning with you, as opposed to a college course from a professor who's only there cuz they couldn't make it themselves

it's a rap guild but moreso from the etymology side of things, scientific enough for me to respect it


the thought of daylyt having to deliver book reports in the form of a 64 bar
