i'm not so sure hip hop really turned its back on lil kim. i think the tide and fan based changed more than anything. the challenge she had was trying to get back in the game after being off the charts and locked away for a minute. her plastic surgery debacles didn't really help her cause. i was rooting for her, but she wasn't getting industry support and didn't release consistent heat when she tried to get back on.
