people talking about how prestigious the interconinental title was, but it wasnt as prestigious as the nwa/wcw united states championship.
and guess what? they had a TV title as well. hell, in the '80s, they also had the national title & they would have the champion from mid-atlantic on-air with that belt as well.

you all must not remember the us tag titles in wcw
there was nothing memorable about them,i know the freebirds and midnight exoress had them but i can remember a classic match or memorable fued over them

they had enough belts in the 80s,and if you knew your history youd know vince killed two titles in 84-85 and had them shipped to japan because no one gave a fukk

u.s. tag titles was the chit up until there became a shortage of teams. then they got rid of it.

nearly half of this list didnt sign on until the latter part of the '84-85 period and def werent there when the wwf had the other belts around.
The WWF Intercontinental Tag Team Championship was a short-lived championship in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) during 1991. The belts were abandoned later in 1991 when the WWF severed ties with the UWF Japan. The title was a subordinate title to the WWF Tag Team titles.
