I played some of these songs on the train and gave this bad chick next to me one of the ear buds, and she told me I must be the type of dude to get raped

Most intelligent women that have heard K-Rino like his music. If you wanna hang around ignorant hoes that's up to you.

It wasnt me that first brought the "rhyme just to rhyme" statement in the thread. Its a term a lot of people use on this board. To me that statement dont mean rhyme random words together. To me it means to force a rhyme. In my opinion that whale fleet line is a forced rhyme. It sounds off. Even if its 3 multi syllable rhymes following each other, the line doesnt feel smooth.

I get the picture Rino is making with that line. Thats fine and all. Its not incorrect per se, since it describes a group of whales. But If I talked about putting some animal muscle on the grill. It sounds wrong. Its not that its "wrong", since its true in a factual sense. But I would rather say Im putting a steak or meat on the grill.

Yeah, its a bragadaccio track. But that doesnt take away that the rhyme feels forced. For me it takes away the dopeness of such a track.

Just check out this multi syllable rhyme from EM. "bytch I'ma kill you! Like a murder weapon, I'ma conceal you in a closet with mildew, sheets, pillows and film you"

He is someone that many claim "rhyme just to rhyme", And I do agree that his new stuff do feel forced. But during the MMLP era he was at his peak where he could rhyme but still make the sentence work. It also feels like he almost wanted to hide his rhymes so they didnt stick out as much. MMLP is filled with multi syllable rhymes but for someone new to rap they would have a hard time noticing it since he dont use "big words" and use it sparely.

Its still of course different styles of rhyming and comes down to preference once again but I would say that EM line is better.
Even tho if we compare the words used to rhymed, Rinos words rhyme more "perfect".

Whale fleet, sweel cheeks, twelve weeks. > (kill you), conseal you, mildew and film you.

But that dont matter if the words stringed together makes the better story.

As far as my top 10 MC's, I dont know. It changes so much depending what I listen too and in what mood I am. Would be impossible to make a list. Some of my favorites are Biggie, Pun, EM (SSLP,MMLP, ES era) and Lupe.

It doesn't really matter what it means to you. We're talking what it means by the words your saying. The word just means solely/only/completely. He doesn't do that as I said. And ok how you feel about the line after that is your opinion and that's fair enough.

Again, this is a bit repetitive, you've said your feelings already and I've accepted it, don't really have much to add to that. Like I said you're entitled to your opinion to feel however you feel.

Cool, only 4 there lol. But ok, I was just seeing what kind of style of MC you like. But you only gave 4, was just curiosity question anyway so it doesn't really matter.

So can I move on with the topic of the thread now? Lol.
