The thing is, raiders do to nfl rules have to spend a lot of that money this year..

Sad thing about it tho.. they will over pay on left over players nobody else will spend that much money on

i hear you. but i still agree with @MegaTronBomb! we all know the way mckenzie works. he manipulates the cap. he will never overpay for players. their production has to match up with their pay. and we're not even talking about for next season...but for 2-3 seasons down the line as well.

please remember...we wouldnt even HAVE all this cap space this year, had mckenzie been foolish with money last summer, overspending on talent. he signed players who came at a good price tag to long term deals. he filled the rest of the roster up with proven professionals, or guys who might have been a coin flip, on short term deals. those that didnt make it are no longer at the roster, with a minimal cap hit.

have we stockpiled on big name free agents? no. have we signed any BIG TIME talent? no. but at least we havent wasted any money. at least we havent fukked our salary cap over.

as a person who runs a lil small business...i will say mckenzie can operate within a budget extremely well. can he build a powerful football team? that remains to be seen.

Just trying to stay positive here but I don't feel like it's doomsday yet. If we can snatch up Hudson and Iupati to sure up that O line, maybe take a risk on guys like Hardy and/or Harvin. Searcy is still out there. Maybe snatch a couple of these Broncos free agents between Irving and Moore. Pot Roast has made comments hinting that he's willing to sign with us. Gresham is one of the best blocking tight ends in the game. I'm still praying Williams drops to us in the draft, dont think the Jags will pass on him though. We're still good guys, don't panic

It seems like Jared Odrick is our first pick up. Solid signing

I just remember how up an arms half of Raider Nation was last year after the first few days of free agency. nikkas were pissed. But after a few weeks of solid signings, and a good draft, everyone calmed down.

It looks like the same shyt is gonna happen again this year. Lets not trip too hard just yet...wait til at least after the draft before we start callin for nikkas heads on spikes.
