Maybe this is the real Jim Harbaugh.

Maybe this is why the Niners moved on.

Maybe the Jim Harbaugh we've seen in the media is a facade for fans and potential players

He turned down $10 million dollar/ year NFL offers to come to Michigan.

That's what I'm saying. When he left Stanford, I remember hearing that nobody was going to miss him. It just got swept under the rug

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
Harbaugh was definitely playing Cowherd. The whole "you have eligibility :ohhh:?" quip was simply meant to make fun of Colin. Basically saying you don't know about what these athletes look for when they choose to pick a program so don't come up here trying to tell me that I need to sell my program on your radio station to garner that support.

From an interview standpoint it was awful, but if the man doesn't want to talk who gives a fukk. Like the article said the only people who get truly upset when athletes/coaches don't work with the media.... is the media. :sas2:

Stanford was a 1 win team when Harbaugh got there, he built everything they have and David Shaw benefitted, and is starting to slip now that Jim's guys have graduated.

A head coach is a bit of a politician. A national platform to sell your program... you know... make a rhetoric filled stump speech. He couldn't even do that... :why:

His campaign's looking funny. :usure:

You think Jim Harbaugh needs help to sell the University of Michigan???????

Top high school players want a coach to get them to the NFL and make millions of dollars. A coach that went to the NFL and did it, is something no one else has. Who wants to be a college star and don't make the league?

Could I argue that is overplayed, though? Nick, Urban, Les and Jimbo have all put plenty players into the NFL.

Agreed. I mean the dude is a heck of a coach and will no doubt have no problem getting people to play for him. My point is why be a dikk when you don't have to be? Rumblings was he was a dikk at Stanford and people were happy he left. He almost got traded to the Browns after making the SB with SF.

Not saying Urban, Nick, Les, Jimbo, etc aren't but they are at least completely proven at the college level.
